RPM goes up after pressing the clutch
Is it normal to have the rpm's go up a few hundred after pressing the clutch.
For example, you're driving in 3rd gear coming up to a stop. You let off the gas and press the clutch does your rpm jump up by about 300 rpm before going down? |
never paid much attention i'll check it tomorrow morning
and see if mine does the same :D |
same i dont think so tho, cause i'd noticed it
|
Mine does it some, but I thought it was because of my mods....

Emissions controls most likely. ;)

Dave...you beat me to it....
|
Well SORRY, i did a search but could not find anything.
|
yes, mine does
|
is that called the synchros?
not ecu blipping? |
Mine does but deja vu, :D.
|
im not sure if my rpm goes up from stepping on the clutch but my rpm drops after i rev the car. Its drops lower than usual and gets close to stalling. I got the pop charger and i jus installed the nismo exhaust. How do i fix this? I was thinkin of unpluging the battery and reset the ecu.

What ever happened to the days of a good ole throttle cable, today 90% of cars are throttle by wire, a servo motor opens and closes throttle bodies, one more part to malfunction.
|
oh. i noticed it too. i always thought it was b/c of the flybywire. Takes time for the motor to close the buttefly in the TB so since the engine is free of the drivetrain it revs a lil.
|
if you shift a little slower, it has a little rpm jump, but if you shift fast, you won't see it jump.
|
what if you shift inbetween those speeds?
j/k |
