What's the coldest you've driven your Z?
 

I hit 8 degrees tonight. I gotta say that's pretty cold. Does the temp gauge go into the negative range? God I hope I never find that out.

Contrary to many prior posts, I thought the stock tires were decent in the cold. They were warmed up and running at about 35 PSI and I was driving on dry roads, but with some left-over salt. The tires would slip if I pushed the pedal into the last inch or so (that's when the car really gets up and goes) but normal driving was problem free.

Cold Drive
 

I drove it in the mountains of NewHampshire in November . 7 inches of snow . Parked it till the plow came . It was fine if I took my time on the plowed roads , but anything else would be suicidal !
It was parked outside of the condo ( probably 15-20 degrees ) and it turned right over each and every time when I went to warm it up , not drive it . I had no real problems ( of course it only had 150 miles on it ) .

I was wondering the same thing driving home last night. It wasn't quite as cold here, only got down to 12 degrees. I'm driving to Vermont to go skiing in two weeks...maybe I'll find out if it goes negative then. :D

How Cold
 

Just went to the bank 0 degrees with approx -15 wind chill. Too cold , but it's hard to let it sit and not drive it. As long as there is no snow on the road the Z begs to be driven.

0 degrees, -4 wind chill. Actually one of the better new cars that I've driven in extreme cold. Cold compression on tires is poor, about 30 psi at that temp. Burst of power on clean pavement -- may as well be on ice -- Slip comes on, I thought unexpectedly.

45 degrees F at night. We're expecting high 30's tonight... and that's about as cold as it'll probably EVER get down here.

Did I forget mention that it doesn't snow here either? :D :D :D

It was really cold in New York yesterday night.

I second that, I drove it last night and my guage got to 45 at the lowest point...

I test drove a Z yesterday, 6 Degree's here in Boston.. The tires would spin almost every time I gave it gas, exactly like I was driving in the rain..

-28 celcius the day i went and bought it, other than that, - 17 c yesterday when i went for a cruise

I figure someone from Canada would be driving in sub -20 deg weather. What about for those that are in NWT, Yukon and Alaska. No Z there?

I hit some ice but don't let it stay in the snow. Which if you calculate the Smoe factor air densit is .97 givin you about 3% more Hp. Te rated Hp is at standard day 15 C/59f sea level it was a rocket!

It snowed all the way to Key West on Jan 19th 1977. I lived in Boca Raton and there was enough snow to build a small snow man on top of my car. 1st time I had ever seen it snow.

My tires lose about 6 psi in the cold. It takes about 20 min of driving before the tires warm up and back to 33 psi.

I bet the Z gets pretty zippy in the cold air. Colder air = more dense air = more air in the cylinder = more fuel in the cylinder = more power. The ECU might put a damper on that though.

It was 0 degrees when I left for work this AM in my 'Z'....roads are dry, though....no problems......great heater!:p
