Help my 2006 z was towed!!!!

I went over to a friends super bowl party and next thing a friend tells me that he sees a black z being towed. Guess whose Z it was? I was parked way back in a cul de sac but was an easy target because of rear wheel drive (cars next to me and others at the entrance of the cul de sac were not towed). I've been babying the thing and hours earlier had detailed it. So my question is should I have the dealership check it over or not. The tow company said they towed it by the rear wheels only and did not touch the rest of the car. I'm not as worried about visible damage that I can see but damage that I can't see(suspension, ect.). I just came back from picking it up and it seems to drive fine but I guess I'm a bit paranoid since I only have 1100 miles on it and the darn thing was towed by it's rear end. Are there things I should look for.

thanks

well first off, it should of been towed with a flat bed...

so check the front bumper for marks if it hit the ground... which i could see happening...

Why was the car towed? Illegal parking? You missed 2 payments? What’s the story?

I was told that it was a no parking area but I honestly didn't know. There was a sign but it was turned 45 degrees from my view and I didn't see it. Regardless, if was my fault or not, I wanted to know if towing Z's by the back end is safe or not.

thanks

Should be fine, the Z can be towed with all 4 wheels on the ground also if its a 6mt...

next time turn your wheels towards the curb... it wont stop them from towing it but it will probably buy you a few more seconds of lookout.

not when the parking brake is up and he leaves the car in gear.

Well my sister's G35 was towed the same way once too and nothing happened to the car.

We were pissed at the towing company. Aparently they opened the car somehow to take the parking brake off and to put it in neutral (It is an automatic too, and they were able to put it neutral).

Your car should be fine, but it wouldnt hurt to take it to the dealership and have it checked.

thanks for responses

I drove the z for about 60 miles today and everything seemed to be okay, although I noticed a few deep scratches that weren't there when I detailed my car earlier on the day it was towed. Ride seemed rougher than before but must be my imagination. I called the local nissan dealership and they said it's safe to wheel tow and that made me feel better. Didn't matter if the emergency brake was engaged cause they lifted the back end and pulled it by the front wheels.

Where were these 'deep scratches' at?
