I'm so Pissed

Well, I go to my PPW 350 to go to the store and what do I see........the same damn orange cat sitting on my hood! I park under a car port but the cat didn't get the hint last time I ran after him. So, I ran after him again and just like you see a cat on a slippery floor try to get away quickly, he scratched the sh*t out of my hood trying to get away! I got so pissed I threw my keys at him, but missed. I don't believe in hurting animals but this cat has it comin' So, after searching for my keys and finally finding them, I take a look at the hood. Of course, I see all kinds of swirl type scratches where he was. I spoke to the apt. manager (of course, he's new) and he knows of no one who owens the damn thing. I left a Msg. with animal control, as well, saying it's a stray cat. That cat is going to get it next time I see it. :icon20: :icon20:

What do you guys recommend to fix the scratches without thinning out the top clear coat? I'll probably just take it to the detail/car wash place down the street or I was thinking the Nissan dealership. They have a detail center and I have a good relationship with them. What should I ask for?

Thanks.

In the near future consider a car cover. A worthwhile investment for about $200.

kinda tacky when you go shopping, park your car and put one of this on. :)

back to your question, if the scratch is not deep, you can wax them and they will be back to normal.

how about leaving some cat food on the floor like near you rcar, so that way hell end up eating instead of putting his butt on your paint!

the cats owners are responsible for what it gets upto. Their cat damages your car, they pay to get it fixed.

I hate cat owners, they let the Bl**dy things roam the streets crapping in peoples gardens, jumping on their cars, it wouldn't be acceptable from a dog, why let a cat do it.

You people should seriously consider suicide. You guys are wound way too tight to be left alive and if I have to do it you not going to like it as much.

J/K!

But really guys, loosen up a bit...

kill the cat and wear it as a hat, make sure the owner sees.

I am sure there is some way that you could hook up a battery to the frame

I have the same problem, my neighbor likes to feed stray cat and a few weeks ago I found a bunch of deep scratches and to top it off the cat sh!t on my car. So later that day I confronted my neighbor about the problem and she said that the cats were not hers and that she only feeds them, so to make a long story short I got a car cover.

I second that. Same problem @ my house, wife parks her car under the car port and damn cat from across the street is always on it every night. Had to buy a car cover, but that shouldn't have to be the case. When I catch him, we are going for a long ride and I will be making the return trip alone.

"oh the cat seems to have eaten the rat poison, maybe the owner shouldn't let the frickin' animal out, what a shame"

cats love the warmth from the hood of the car. be careful too, cats have oils on the pads of their feet which will slowly eat away at the paint.

I understand where you're coming from...but hood/paintjobs for these cars are not cheap.

Get one of these:

Also go to Wal-mart and pick up a bottle of Kit Scratch Out for $2. Stuff works wonders on minor clear coat scratches and swirls.
