do all the 2006's come with

Carpet (front and cargo), splash guards and aluminium door sills?

They are supposidly factory options but all of the ones I am seeing are coming with this stuff already on them and of course they charge you for them.

Looks like I will have a set of brand new aluminium door sills for sale, seeing how I bought them already. Opps.

No, these are all options. Its odd that the Nismo floor mats are cheaper than the Nissan ones.

I know they are options but all of the 2006 base and Enthusiaists I'm seeing on lots and on Nissans website, that shows the breakdown of the window sticker, all have these options already on the cars.

I can understand maybe the floor mats but I'm surprised they are putting the sills on them too.

Camaro 194 is right. One thing to add: In GT (and perhaps Track, but not sure of that) splash guards aren't even an option. I just ordered a GTc. Even on the NNA site, when you try to build a GT, splash guards are removed from options list. But they aren't listed under standard equipment either, so I guess they aren't offered, perhaps due to the underbody aero fixtures on Track and GT. :dunno:

Since those three are the most popular (and least expensive) options, most dealers request them on their Z orders, that's why you are seeing them on the lots with all three added.

The reason why most cars already have these options is because they are cheap and commonly requested. They do not add much to the price of the car, but add alot of value to it. How many people have a car without floormats? And the side sills add a little flare to the car.

When I ordered my 05 base I ordered no extra options except floormats. My car was delivered with splash guards, aluminum door sills, cargo net and carpet, and I believe the aero front lip.

I didn't complain :icon38:

:icon20:, I knew I should have done this! When I pre-ordered my 2006 Roadster (Back in August of 2005), my dealer told me that ALL vehiclse come with splash guards, aluminum door sills (aka kick plate), cargo net and carpet.

I thought about doing the whole "I don't want it, hence I'm not paying for it", but the truth of the matter was that I was going to buy them at some point in time. I was going to push for getting the car as bare as possible so I could buy the nismo items (which where cheaper).

My window sticker did not include floor mats and rear cargo mat or kick plates, but when I got the car it had them in it. Maybe I was lucky who knows.

My GT has splash guards front and back.

Alrighty then! So I guess they are standard equipment. But Nissan doesn't list them as such for GT on their site. Very good to know, though.

As did mine, even though I was ordering the car with the nismo aero kit. So now I have brand new splash guards doing nothing in my garage.:icon20: I didn't know that the nismo kit replaced the OEM splash guards, had I of known I would have really told them to F*** OFF with the OEM splash guards.

No, the splash guards aren't standard equipment. They are not an option on any model with the aerodynamics package (rear spoiler and front chin spoiler), because they are not very aerodynamic. If you get the package you have to install them after.

My car came with the splash guards as well. Many of the cars I saw didn't have them at the time. I thought it was a fair price for keeping my fenders clean and chip free. However, after a week I looked at the backside and saw all this junk piling up on the backside. I took them off to inspect them only to find wet material still there. It had rained about a week before and hadn't dried there yet? Plus, they were starting to scratch the body. So, I took them off, liked the look and didn't get the build up of course anymore. Since then I have checked many times to see if I was getting splashes on the side of the car. Only a very little bit if at all. I get more on my F-body. So, I am leaving them off and I like the look much better.

Knowing what I know now I would not have bought the splash guards the way they are designed. The ones on my Pathfinder and my Altima were much more functional and didn't collect stuff that makes me weary of rust through on those panels.

Those of you that have the splash guards might want to take them off. They are only a couple of screws to do so. Then you might want to check and see if you are getting that build up under the splash guard that looks like it will only hurt not help the body at those locations. JMHO !! ;)
