Explain?

You dont really need a rebate if you go to the right dealer they will almost give you invoice price, isnt that good enuff?

Dealer dropped 3.5k off my Z price in July 2005 that was "rebate" enuff for me.

Remember to negotiate without the rebate. The rebate should be used as if it where cash in your pocket. So like other's have mentioned, get them to go down below invoice then hit them with the rebate. They are getting the rebate money strait from Nissan, so it's not their money.

for the nth time: www.carbuyingtips.com , go there and learn the ways of car buying. I got my 2006 pre-ordered in August 2005 to the tune of dealer cost + $750.00. That's roughly $300-500 under invoice.

Dealer dropped almost 5K on mine!:icon11:

I mean, the sticker said 37K and I got it for 32K, meaning that they over marked the price and I just got it for normal price.:icon14:

I have a 2005 Touring, got it on October '05

Rebate

I just bought an 05 Touring in November for about $28 when you take into account the fact they gave me 2k more than bluebook for my altima... I was an idiot and let them factor in the rebate while we were negotiating, though so it's more like i paid a little less than sticker for the Z and got bluebook value for the altima. They like to fudge numbers around so they look better to their bosses for getting more for the Z even though they gave you more for the trade-in. It's bad for you though because that means more tax.

If you're smart you'll talk them down as low as possible.. LOOK AT THE MATH, and make sure you get the bottom line BEFORE the rebate. If they try to use the rebate as leverage, you tell them no, the rebate comes into play after we negotiate the bottom line price... don't be afraid to walk away. Give em your number and tell them if they can work out something better to give you a call.

Trust me, they'll call

That's about twice the base price of the z...by that, we should all be driving M3s or C6s !

350ztoronto Mar 18, 2006 03:09 PM

i got mine at invoice even before the 06's came out, late july actually
i dun know why you wouldn't just go to a dealer and haggle a bit they are DYING to get the 05 off there hands you just can't be picky with colors what ever is "left over"
