TPS Warning Display
During the winter, I re-installed the stock wheels back onto my wife's 350. Now that the car has been brought back out for the season, I put the aftermarket PIAA wheels back on. Here's the problem: the trip computer now flashes "PSI" and there is a warning light displayed on the main instrument gauge panel. I know why the warnings are there due to the aftermarket wheels not having the TPS installed. I want to know how to get the warnings to quit displaying. It's bloody annoying having to look at both of them all the time. Any idea's guys how to get rid of them?
what your describing happens to me whenever its really cold outside, and the psi drops below normal. Once I start driving and the tires heat up, psi goes back to normal, light goes away. But if your wheels have no tps installed, you could try installing them (if they are compatible with your wheels). I know Ive seen a bunch of threads about that light, so you might want to search for it.
Strange enough, I never had this happen when I removed the APS sensors from the wheels. I just didn't get a reading anymore. I got a question for you. Are the APS sitting somewhere close to your Z when you start it? For example, are your wheels sitting in the corner of your garage where you park the Z? Do you start the Z and let it warm up before driving? The onboard computer will still pick up the sensors even when their not on the vehicle. I had this problem once. I had an APS sensor in the trunk of my daily driver, which was parked next to the Z. When I'd warm up the Z for a weekend drive, it would pick up the sensor's presence and trigger the onboard computer.

Atrip to the "stealer" should do the trick. They can reset the computer for you.
yeah. . . we're putting the new cover sheets on the TPS reports now. . .didn't you get the memo? that should do the trick, yeah, oh, and i'm gonna need you to come in on saturday. . . thaaanks.
I'd like to know how to do this too. I took the trip computer out of my car(put aftermarket gauges there) but still I get the flat tire light on the gauge cluster after about an hour of driving. It's not that annoying, just unnecessary.

I don't have my TPS installed and I get the tire warning light on the dash that looks like:

It only comes on after 20mins/20miles but is dependent on weather. I haven't see it on since last summer. ::shrugs::

If I could I'd put the TPS back onto the PIAA wheels but I'd be risking punching a hole thru the wheel if I ever got a flat. Not worth it considering the price of the wheels. The stock wheels aren't any closer than 50ft to the car, so I don't think that the computer would still detect them from that distance, would they ? Any other options ?
