I can feel your pain. I purchased a 2003 and found out that my then G-Friend was Pregnant. I did what i thought was the " RIGHT THING " and traded up for a Maxima. Every time I saw a Z pass me I would tell my wife that I missed my car.. Well 16 months later I bought a new 06 and I couldn't be happier. If this is your first, it is hard to imagine haveing a family of three and owning a two seater. My daughter loves the Z and with the passangers seat pushed all the way back and her car seat she fits fine in the car. Advice... If you can afford it, have a second vehicle that could be used for family and you love your car.... KEEP IT !!!

keeping the Z just makes sense. I guess we will use the jeep to lug the baby and fiance' around. Can i get a bump once in a while for the great deal im offering on the Utec... I just got the thing for 900.00 + shipping asking 800 shipped should be a competitve price.

Definitely keep the Z if you can avoid you fiance having too much heartburn over it. I got married a few years ago and got a Maxima thinking we would need a "family car" to compliment my wife's SVU. This was the year the 350's were introduced, and this was the car I wanted. I never complained, I enjoyed the Maxima, but we always used the wife's truck to cart the kid around in. We added a baby in the last year and out of the blue my wife saw the way things were working and told me to go ahead and get the Z. Here I am. I would recommend you get a passenger airbag defeat switch in the car, there will be times when you need to drive the baby around I'm sure. Any time you need to get the 3 of you in a ride though you'll have the Jeep.

In 1985 I bought a 300ZX. 2 years later my wife had my daughter. I kept my Z for several years but traded it years later for a more practical family car. I regetted it and every time I passed a Z, I would longingly stare at it. I finally fixed my terrible mistake in 2004 with the purchase of a new roadster and hope to teach my daughter how to drive a stick.
If you get rid of the Z, you will always wish you didn't--trust me, I've been there!

Think about it, the only time you need the Z is when your wife is gone in the jeep. You can cart the baby around, but get that airbag taken care of.
Is it fair for your to trade in your best friend for a car you don't like so you can drive the baby a few times? I think not. Keep the Z.

Mexico is nice this time of year...
Just kidding, Probably the first thing you should do is nothing, babies have a way of taking on a life of their own in more ways than one. Once you get a little farther along than the shock/surprise you can make rational decision as a couple.
