Hey BlackKnight, did your girlfriend get the tickets out of state? I don't know what you have to do to get a ticket in MD
She's just jealous cuz I can talk my way out of a ticket better than she can.
My worst speeding ticket was when I just graduated from college and started heading out to TX. Saw those beautiful wide open roads for the 1st time and decided to floor it in a '91 Eagle Talon Tsi. Got her up to 130, then sirens and lights came out of nowhere!!! They warned me that they could have thrown me in jail for reckless driving. Somehow, I was able to get out of that situation with only a 95 in a 75 and nothing criminial before reporting to my 1st duty station. Needless to say I drove the remaining 300 miles across TX doing the speedlimit and nothing over!!

Yeah,
Here in Texas they will catch ya slippin' if you don't know where to slow it down. I know where most of them set up camp so I cruise by smiling at them until I get to that 20 mile safe zone. That's when I have some fun. Lucky for me there are areas where the roads here are divided by large cement walls (50% of their hiding places) so I only have to worry about the hiding on my side of the road. There aren't many places to hid, so as long as I don't speed up on them, from behind, I'm good to go

Once bitten twice shy
I remember when I had my 300ZX. I had just polished it nice and shiny and was heading to JFK airport to meet my family from England. I got on the Southern State pkwy and had just shifted into 5th gear. I turned the cd player on when all of a sudden , what seemed to be out of the trees, a State Trooper appeared.
I quickly downed shifted but to no avail. he briefly hid behind another car before pulling me over for doing 69 in in a 55.
Needless to say I got the routine about "I'm going to give you a ticket".
The ironic part was I had been debating should I get a radar detector??? The answer was obvious after that .
I plan to get the Valentine radar detector ASAP once my black beauty is in my possession.

Can't go wrong with a radar detector. I have a feeling that every 350Z ower will need one in about 3 more months. I'll bet, after the huge marketing campaign on this car, cops will itching to hand us out some fat tickets.
