Oh... and this weekend I'm taking the Z and my g/f in it (and luggage) about 4 hours away to the beach for a 5 day 4 night getaway. I'll let you know how the trunk works out with that.

I sometimes miss my backseat...I used to have an Acura TL-S, and my first seat memory setting was for my driving position, my my second seat memory setting was for my fukking position....that car had some backseat....I'd get outta my car, hit number 2, and then my driver's seat would slide all the way forward, lifts itself all the way up, and reclines itself all the way forward to give me all the room I need in the backseat to knock boots...speaking of which, I never really clean out my backseat...hope the dealership did, cuz otherwise, my DNA is all over that backseat...

When I bought my Z I specifically wanted a 2 seater. After having my first child, I started to wonder if I should look at a car with a back seat. Since my wife drives our SUV, I decided to keep the Z for now.
But after looking at many, many cars, I am wondering, have any of you sold your Z for a car with a back seat? If so, what did you get?
Also, if yuo HAD to buy a different car with a back seat, what would you get?
I'm just not happy with the other options out there and decided to stick with the Z. It seems that once you add the back seat, the car just becomes a boring sedan like a Camry or Taurus that could easily be any old rental car, or any other car on the road out there.
The Acura RSX, Mustang and Mitsubishi Eclipse all have back seats, (although small ones) but none of those cars do as much for me as the Z does.

Nope. Still has a trunk....its a storage space, just happens to not be sealed off. Don't miss the back seats. Its actually kinda nice...and when multiple people ask for a ride...I can say no!

I almost didn't buy the Z because of the lack of back seat and the bar across the hatch area. Now I have absolutely no regrets. No kids, no big dog, "sorry only space for one girl", and I've found camping equipment, luggage, and a cooler that will fit just fine and less cleaning. It's my Daily Driver and the very few times I couldn't take large articles aren't worth giving up the advantages. I just plan ahead.

This is my third car without a backseat, so I'm used to it. I kinda prefer it...I never get asked to cart anyone around, so it's just usually me and my girlfriend.
The trunk space does get a little tight because of the sway bar, so I keep my luggage to smaller bags. It's scary to think that when it comes down to it and we need trunk space, my girlfriend and I take my car. She has an S2000 and I might as well pack a t-shirt and a toothbrush (exaggerating here a little).
But it's kinda the essence of a sports car...that wrap around feeling of being in a cockpit, feeling the bass from the subwoofer through the back of your seat, knowing that there aren't any car seats behind you...
Unfortunately, we're currently looking to get a truck in case we're ever in the strange situation that we need to carry something bigger than my Z's space. Wish us luck...

If i have a larger trunk, there will be more junk in it. The only thing I putback there are my books and backpack...... or groceries, but how long does it stay in there? not long, especially melting ice cream!

My last two vehicles were full-size pickup trucks with quad cab. What I miss in the Roadster is having any sort of storage space behind the seats. I drive my daughter to school every morning and the only place there's room for her backpack is in the trunk. This is the tradeoff between the Roadster and the Coupe, but I wouldn't give up topless driving for anything. And the token trunk in the Roadster is more trunk than I had with the truck!
