Ah, I have the DVD of that. It is pretty good, especially when you want a Z, and very especially in surround sound.

One question for you guys. I haven't driven a Z33 yet. Is the intake note really that loud on a stock car, or did they put on an intake to get a more aggressive sound?

Kam350z Jun 11, 2006 08:23 PM

It is that loud.

plumpzz Jun 11, 2006 09:08 PM

its actually louder lol.

ouch1011 Jun 11, 2006 09:25 PM

That's awesome :D

Anyone know of a place that you can DL this instead of streaming it? I hate streaming.

Sweet video!! I enjoyed watching the whole thing! Thanks for the link.
It would be cool to download and keep it saved somewhere too :-)

angelzhope720 Jun 11, 2006 11:30 PM

I think the exotic exhaust note helps make it seem louder.

NissanZfan Jun 11, 2006 11:38 PM

That is a vid worth watching for sure. Anybody have where that can be downloaded?

Mazinger Z Jun 12, 2006 12:06 AM

Good vid :)

Never seen the whole thing before. It was ok; kind of bland with little excitement or danger conveyed. If you liked that, now check out the film that inspired it: Much more exciting, faster and no closed roads on the streets of Paris in a Ferrari 275 GTB.

awesome video! since i'm still working on how to downshift properly, this gives me an idea of what the engine should sound like...i must say though, my heart breaks a bit as i hear the car bounce over bumps and hit dirt piles!:(

No Ferrari in there, try a 6.9 liter Mercedes instead.

He only went about 110 mph.

I'd recommend the "Getaway in Stockholm" series instead.

This is the first episode, but I think it's fake. The 2nd isn't and it's by far the best.

Enjoy !

Yeah, there was alot of speculation as to whether it was a Ferarri, as advertised, or the guy's own Mercedes or even if he was the driver or not; hard telling, alot of conflicting evidence out there and nothing conclusive. At any rate, the sound in the film is that of a Ferarri AFAIK, and although the top speed didn't surpass that of the Z in The Run, it sure looked like the speed he carried through the town itself was greater (after that first stretch in The Run, the Z looked pretty slow through town; may have just been the way it was shot, but it didn't look as exciting). The best thing about the Rendezvous is that it was completely impromptu, with real people and real cars on the roads of early morning Paris; they don't make 'em like that anymore!

Damn I get a rock chip everytime I drive my car I'd hate to see his bumper up close after he hit the whole pile of rocks lmao.

Yeah the gettaway in Stokholm series' are awsome, try and find the ones with the done up Toyota Supra, and the Ford escort I think, both of them are running well over 400 whp. Those are some awsome vids.
