Angry No Oil Pressure

Folks i need your help...

I have a 06 roadster with 8k miles. I have been having shifting problems like a lot of you. (no going into gear, none predictable response from clutch, etc) So this weekend a noise starts when in gear at low speed acceleration or de-acceleration. Sound like clutch, but now we have a new issue.

NO OIL PRESSURE… was the sound the oil pump going? Don’t know.

Dealer is F%^&ing with me on coverage and rental car.. NOT HAPPY

So has anyone lost a oil pump with 8k miles yet. No history on the car having issues so dealer won’t cover repairs… NICE.

Need help guys
Thanks

dealer will have to cover it. and they have to give you a rent a car if they have the car for more than a day. I have went through the stealership bs many times, they suck. the only way i can see them not covering it is if they can prove that it was you who did the damage like redling the crap out of it. and yes w/ only 8k on it parts fail. it's not a common occurence but mech/and or elec parts while being brand new can fail or for that matter fail right from the box? just talk to the dealer respectfully to get your matters resolved although i know you'd like to start biiitch slapping them all.

Agree with idwin with one exception, the thing about red-lining. The car has a rev-limiter, it is a sports car, my owners manual does not say not to redline it. They'd have to cover even if you were red-lining, IMO, unless you've raised the rev-limit.

Brought it in with 2500 miles complained about shirter. Service manager lied to my face with my kid standing there. "no problem sir we looked at everything" we watched them do a oil change and drop the car. asked the tech and he said he was never told about tranny issues. NOT COVERED

If i hear NOTY COVERED one more time or NOT ENOUGH REPORT ON ISSUES YET.. My red line will blow.

If you have an 06 with 8k isn't this all covered under the factory warranty. I would try another dealership, I don't understand why the dealer you are using is giving you problems they get paid for warranty work!!

Get a LAWYER. One letter from a law firm could change their attitude quickly.

Yeah, just go to another dealership. I never understood dealer's attitudes towards warranty work, it's not like they don't get paid to do the work.......idiots.

You bought a new car w/ a warrantly, and they're saying everyhting isn't covered.....and you haven't called Nissan yet?!?

It might be the way you are handling the situation. Personally I would go in there basically telling them what is going to happen, you can't be nice in situations like this, you have to take control! I'm not saying go in there like a ball of fire but definitely don't backdown, like we said earlier your car has a 3 yr 36,000 mile bumper to bumper and a 5 yr 60,000 powertrain everything should be covered but brake pads, tires, wiperblades, lightbulbs etc.

There is absolutely no way that they can back down out of the warranty. Get a lawyer ASAP and make sure the dealership covers the cost.

This is outrageous, what is that dealer's name ?
