If this is too confusing let me clarify. First production VINS's are being distributed to the dealers that these pre-order vehicles match to. Contact your dealer or sales representative for more information. If your dealer does not have any information they can contact the region to see if any of their pre-orders are in this first batch and if so what the VIN(s) is/are.

Get going.
Get the goods.
Pass on your results.
This is just too much fun.

(I could probably get an actual VIN, but that would tell where the information comes from, sorry).

I HAVE KNOWN THIS FOR A WEEK RXO....IM JUST TRYING TO GET THESE FEW PEOPLE TO POST THERE VINS. MAYBE SINCE YOU ARE POSTING THE FACTS NOT ME THEY WILL BELIEVE.

I for one did and ill be getting my VIN in 2weeks as per my regional rep at NNA in Irving TX

COME ON GUYS...YOU SHOULD BE EXCITED....GO GET THOSE VINS AND POST EM.

YOUR Regional REP is the person your dealer faxed the original order to.

RXO am I right about the Tracking Order Numbers????

R # meaning June Production (meaning cars built should have VINS) and the S # meaning July production????

I take it that the image is of the Panama Canal. That's kind of funny, because my Dad was stationed there prior to WWII. Now my Zcar is coming through it to me?!
If I'm wrong let me fanatasize about it.

Hey RxO ... your photo of the Canal brought back strong memories ... it's hard to imagine ... my 1968 VW and I traveled the Canal in 1969 onboard my USNavy ship heading to San diego ... now my "Z" might be retracing those 'steps' (strokes?) back through ... keep an eye out for one loaded freighter heading toward J'ville!

Are you familiar with the Miramar Intercontinental Hotel at the Marina in Panama City? I will be there saturday night on a layover. Last month on a clear beautiful morning the air traffic controllers let us fly visually up the canal at 3000'. It was a very pretty site.

I will be in Costa Rica visiting friends on friday through sunday.
Tuesday in Miami hopefully for two weeks.
Try to stay cool. The humidity is really high right now.

fortunately they have good air conditioning there, and unfortunately I get in at 10pm and leave the next morning at 6am.

I asked my dealer about a VIN, here is what they said:

So, thats intersting. That means for people who've got a VIN, your car is BUILT and ON THE WAY! :)

Unfortunately that also means mine is not yet on a ship... :(

All this assuming of course my dealer got the right info...
