I'm curious how many 350's have been made??

Does anyone know how many 350Z's have been made approximately, at all of the factories globally?? Maybe one of Nissan sponsors might know?? :)

Had a hunt around the net, but couldn't find the data I wanted.

Yes, it's a good question - it gets asked and answered quite often here...

Check one of the other Z forums -- someone posted the #s there last week.

Are you quoting in North America alone or globablly. And which years??

DavesZ#3 Aug 8, 2006 03:51 AM

Those sound like old numbers for North America only.

More recent #'s:

2003..... 36,728
2004..... 30,690
2005..... 27,278
2006..... 15,089 (through June)

Total Zs... 109,785

If you want the real numbers, check out http://www.nissannews.com/

Click on the Nissan link on the bar across the top of the page. Look to the right of that page and you will see a section "Sales News". Click on that link and you'll see a list of years and months within each year. Those links take you to the actual sales figures.

You should wind up at the page:
http://www.nissannews.com/nissan/sales/index.shtml

Note that is Nissan North America, you'll have to search other regions or corporate for worldwide figures.

Those '03-'04 #s looked pretty bad (16% drop), but the drop to '05 wasn't too shabby.

DavesZ#3 Aug 8, 2006 08:53 AM

You have to figure that a lot of people bought in 03 because it's was newly released and people had been waiting for a long time to get them. The drop from 03 to 04 was expected and the numbers for 05 and 06 (projected) will hover around 30,000. When sales drop below 20,000 then you might have some reason for concern. Keep in mind that the production of G35s figure into all this because of the shared platform. As long as total sales stay pretty high, the Z will be in production. Look back at the figures I posted in this thread for the previous generation Zs (1992-1996):

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=205996

After 1992, the sales dropped like a rock. The Z was doomed at that point with only a few thousand sold per year.
