Default Rev motor and non rev

Hopefully I will be getting a new long or short block in the future due to my new Z guzzling oil.

How can I know if they repalced/will replace my 2006's engine with another rev up engine, as opposed to the dealer screwing up and putting in an older 287 HP engine?

Are the numbers on the block different or something?

I would think the way everything connects to the engine would be completely different than the 287hp. BTW which dealer is doing the work? If you dont mind me asking.

What the hell did you do to your car to blow up your engine on a 2006?

It's not blown up. It's using way too much oil. The car runs fine, however it uses 1 quart of oil every 1,000 miles, which is going to be about 5 to 6 GALLONS of oil every year with the amount of miles I am drivng it.
