I just sold my POS 328I 97 which I brought brand new. As soon as your warranty goes out, THE CAR WILL FALL APART. I think I paid twice the cars price with all the things that went wrong with that bimmer. As for BMW service being great...not is San Diego.

I've got a few beemer owners in my Condo, they all have traded them in after only 3yrs. They said they are too expensive to maintain after that!
It's funny, they all love my Z too... after it's transformation from the base model of course, lol.
I personally would stick another $10k (safe FI setup) into my car before purchasing any BMW. I like beemers, for other people
