What's this button?
Does the PTY button work on the Bose stereo? I have tried to program it for radio stations but it doesn't seem to work.
|
I think it's just a shuffle function for the cd player. Maybe it stands for "party"? heh.
|
it has something to do with radio stations but I can't get it to work. Any ideas?

You could always just read your owner's manual. The PTY button functionality is in there...
|
yeah rtfm. :)

its something like stations have a genre, and you click the genre you want and itll take you to a station fitting it. Ive never got it to work tho, dont know how, Id also agree owners manual can help. many stations wont have a genre, so they wont work.

Mine works fine. It adjusts your treble/bass to that certain grouping when you are using the am/fm radio on the stereo. Kinda like having a DSP receiver in your house, you can choose what type of signal processing you want.
Do you have the pre or post bose amp fix? perhaps thats whats causing your problems? Also test it between 10 and 15 on teh volume, you will definitely notice the changes. Also, it may not work if you have upgraded to aftermarket audio componenets. Could be built into the factory amp since we dont have one in teh headunit on bose stereo. |
I have the post-bose amp fix and I read the manual but PTY seems to have no function unless you are supposed to reprogram it everytime you change stations.

PTY button. I think that's the pity button. If you got the Bose, you can push the pity button. :D
