To the OP, there isn't to much real world data out there to give you an answer to your question. Engine longevity definitely is based on engineering standards and tolerances, but is also heavily dependent on how the owner maintains it. Baby it and pour money into repairs, and I'm sure you can get the VQ to last a million miles...unlikely but not impossible (Al Bundy did it)
Based on cost effectiveness for car companies however, realize that internal components are engineered to succumb to fatigue at some point, so the VQ will probably last as long as any of its competitors.
