I've Lost WHP

I dyno'd 284whp about 10k ago and couple of days ago, I dyno'd 277 :(

oh well, I guess it's from wear and tear, mostly.. I'm sure other factors, such as weather is involved as well. It's from the same dyno. Maybe cuz the engine was hot? Intersting thing was my Torque stayed, relatively the same.. around 255ish.

myZter Dec 14, 2006 05:58 PM

put some new stickers on it might be warn out

simplypanda Dec 14, 2006 05:59 PM

I heard that even on the same dyno the figures won't be the same cause like temperature reasons or what not. I dunno you shouldn't worry about it the next time you go on the same dyno again it would probably change again.

DaveZ06 Dec 14, 2006 06:01 PM

if you didn't work on your car since the last 10k miles and kept it clean then don't trip. It's probably the retarted CA weather we've been getting lately, plus 277/284 whp is pretty damn good! What kinda stickers do you have?? I MUST try this out

ct350z Dec 14, 2006 06:02 PM

what mods do you have???

03performz Dec 14, 2006 06:03 PM

How did you dyno 280+ w/ only a popcharger?

My big ol HONDA POWERED sticken ain't big enough, I think. I'm not too worried about the loss, just thought it was a bit strange.

I have all the (michael) boltons minus headers.

3hree5ive0ero Dec 14, 2006 06:07 PM

It's probably the climate

dave079 Dec 14, 2006 06:08 PM

Like someone said before could be varying reason such as temp.

ct350z Dec 14, 2006 06:09 PM

do you have a rev-up? your dynoing pretty high!!!

Jaegermeister2k Dec 14, 2006 06:10 PM

I once lost something like 15 rwhp due to a leak in my exhaust. Had a hole about a quarter in size in the header. If the car feels fine. I wouldn't worry about the dyno. Dynos are tuning tools. If the tuner decides to show your car make 500rwhp with a turbinator, he can do that.

Jaegermeister2k Dec 14, 2006 06:10 PM

His mod list is obviously fake guys.

03performz Dec 14, 2006 06:11 PM

Post before and after dyno graphs side by side so we can see what's going on.

Did you check the a/f ratio?

Hey there are people on this board that think that turbinators actually work, and that a catback will net you 35rwhp. I was just making sure. :D

I guess I should have posted a smiley next to my 1st post. My sarcasm must have been missed.

My A/F is a bit high (14.2) around the 4k rpm, but it's not FI and it's still not too terrible. I don't have a rev-up.

my mods are: HKS true dual ti tip, Kinetix TP, POPcharger, UR pulley, AAM plenum spacer. It's a '05.

ct350z Dec 14, 2006 06:31 PM

dam your dynoing pretty dam high for having those few mods.

Hydrazine Dec 14, 2006 06:32 PM

I'm putting money on it being the stupid ECU.

I've seen it plenty of times on the dyno. You didn't lose anything.
