My brand new 2006 350Z has problems that Cerritos Nissan won't fix!!

So since day one my 2006 350z has drifted to the right at all speeds on the road. Doesn't matter at what speeds, it's just worse on the highway. Then the clutch began making this popping noise when it is depressed at all speeds. And in between 80 and 90 mph there is this high pitched differential vs transmissino noise that is loud enough to overpower the speakers. I've had the car three weeks and Cerritos Nissan has had it 1 of the 3 weeks basically doing nothing. Saying that they did this and that and that the problem is fixed when it wasn't. And now after all that they basically said that Nissan headquarters says those are all acceptable things and that there is nothing they can do. I am so effing pissed off it's ridiculous. What kind of customer service and blatant refusal to fix problems is this. I'm going to call nissan headquarters. Buyer beware. I paid $29000 for this brand new car and it freaking drives like it's been in an accident. PLEASE tell me I'm not teh first person to have these sorts of problems and let me know what people did to fix them. Thanks.

go to another dealer..
what do u mean drifted to the right at all speeds?
the clutch noise is normal. im taking my car in tomorrow for the clutch noise and they said they had to order apart for it dont know why all u have to do is put some grease on it.

Yes, go to another dealer for 2nd opinion. My '06 has run like a top since new.

Your car pings, pops and drifts. Sux! +1 on going to another dealer!

hey, i got my 06' enthusiast from the same dealer. yea, there an a** when it comes to service... or should i say any nissan dealers. The clutch making lot of sounds it pretty common, my clutch was also making alot of noise when shifting, especially 1-2nd gear but it gets better when u put on some miles. gluck.

Does the car make any sounds when you steer or merge to the left, I'm fighting it out with my local dealer. My car started veering to the right and making a sound from the front right tire whenever I steered left. They aligned it and that didn't fix the problem, so they blamed it on uneven pavement. I think I need a new bearing and I've heard of a few others that had a faulty bearing. My vehicle has 13,500 miles on it and the problem started about 1,000 miles ago. You might want to tell the next dealer to check the bearings.

Send a copy of this to Nissan USA and have your vehicle assessed by another dealership.

It is very important that you proceed ONLY in writing.

Good luck

ya definitly. i actually had a similar situation here. dealer quoted me like 3,000 to replace a clutch. i asked them to put that quote in writing for me, full well knowing that everyone else will do the labor for about 500 and the clutch kit it self is around 500. after they realized i was serious, magically i got a $2,000 dollar discount :)

Thanks everyone for your help. I didn't even think to take it to another dealership. Why would another dealership treat me any differently especially since Cerritos Nissan is where I bought it? The car doesn't even have 1000 miles on it yet and there are four major problems with it. Pings, veers right if I let go of the steering wheel in a matter of seconds, the clutch pops when depressed, and there is diff whining at speeds above 80mph. Now for $29K and this being Nissan's top of the line vehicle, I would imagine that a brand new car wouldn't have these problems.

I will also request everything in writing as well, that is a great idea, didn't think about that either.

I drove my 1971 yellow vw beetle for 10 years through, college, through medical school, and halfway through residency, and you know what, my beetle gives me less problems and is more fun to drive than my brand new 29K car, it shouldn't be that way man. I'm thinking about just trading it in and saying eff it, I don't have time for these kinds of shenanigans. I'm trying to decide when the best time to sell it would be.....now vs after 6 months vs after x number of miles or?

Thanks again for everyones help.

Oh yeah, and my front tire doesn't make any noises when I turn left.............................yet, but given the way this thing has been I'm sure it will.

One thing i know of from experiences is that...Cerritos Nissan Service is a NO NO. Go to another Dealer!!! ... They really suck at service.

You would take it to another dealer because, yes they are all nissan stores but no they arent all run the same. some dealers care others just want your big ass check then nothing more to do with you. Take it somewhere else. Giving it back is just going to cost you money. But by the sounds of it you should have money being a doc and all. GL

You can take your car to any dealership for warranty work.

Veering right sounds like an alignment issue. Mine was out of alignment when I first got it too. Took it in and they aligned it. Of course, they aligned it to the 2003 spec and there was way too much neg camber, so I took it back and gave them holy hell for it, but they fixed it.

From what I have been reading the dealer that you bought from has terrible CS. Same with mine.

Just wait till you check the oil at about 7000 miles.:icon22:
