Question Is the battery non-maintenance?

The owners manual says to check the battery cells. This is surprising since I have had only maintenance-free batteries for many years. Has anyone checked the cells? I tried unscrewing one of the caps and couldn't budge it.

Anybody? Does our car have a carbon fiber driveshaft, but an old style battery?

The battery is not "maintenace free". You need to check it for proper fluid level. Depending on the use of the car, maybe every 3-6 months.

Yes, carbon fiber drive shaft.
