I feel like theres more that we can do to prepare young people to drive. I have teenagers that work for us and I have watched some of them drive and it scares me. They think its almost funny to get away with drinking and driving or speeding. I have one girl that is 19 got a dui and a few weeks later I saw here go by me with a beer in her hand. I also have a boy that has just turned 19 and lost his license for a second time for speeding and he is still driving. They won't listen to me and I'm afraid for them cause they are good people. They changed the age for learners to 16 and drivers to 17. But still they don't learn anymore that way. They're just a year older. Learners should be 15 and drivers at 17 with a hard class and test. But thats just an idea.

That's very sad, Last summer I almost lost my best friend due to him crashing his sportbike at 60MPH in to a side of a car, He broke his back and almost didnt make it, Hes better now but still did not learn his leson, in a couple weeks he plans to pick up a brand new Ninja,

Insurance company 'Actuaries' would not agree with you. Statistcally the difference between a 16 year old and 18 year old is a large enough to dicatate different rates, There is even a significant difference based on gender. Heck I say raise it to the drinking age (21). Makes sense to me. If your're going to drink and drive, then they will at least be 'of age' instead of the double whammy we see on the news weekly. "Underage kid drinks a 40 and ends up in a ditch"
