I feel like theres more that we can do to prepare young people to drive. I have teenagers that work for us and I have watched some of them drive and it scares me. They think its almost funny to get away with drinking and driving or speeding. I have one girl that is 19 got a dui and a few weeks later I saw here go by me with a beer in her hand. I also have a boy that has just turned 19 and lost his license for a second time for speeding and he is still driving. They won't listen to me and I'm afraid for them cause they are good people. They changed the age for learners to 16 and drivers to 17. But still they don't learn anymore that way. They're just a year older. Learners should be 15 and drivers at 17 with a hard class and test. But thats just an idea.

Any loss of life is tragic, the most tragic thing of all is the driver was so young, and all the family and friends grieving.

Yeah, so people can head off to college by themselves with no driving experience alone. There's no correlation between the maturity of a 17 y/o and an 18 y/o.

Insurance company 'Actuaries' would not agree with you. Statistcally the difference between a 16 year old and 18 year old is a large enough to dicatate different rates, There is even a significant difference based on gender. Heck I say raise it to the drinking age (21). Makes sense to me. If your're going to drink and drive, then they will at least be 'of age' instead of the double whammy we see on the news weekly. "Underage kid drinks a 40 and ends up in a ditch"

Actually, because of his age, he was inexperienced. Someone should have at least 6-12 months of driving experience before getting in a car such as a 350z, or anything sporty for that matter.

RIP.

RIP

If I had a Z at the age of 17 Id be dead as well, I blame the parents for buying that car for him at that age or for letting him buy it. Nearly 300hp and RWD + teenage boy is not a good recipe, I dont care how responsible one might seem.
