So? You posted information that people put on the web and can be edited at any time. The trucks we told you run faster than what you posted. So STFU noob.

RSX is not faster than an RX-8. RSX type S isn't near as fast as an RX-8 either. From modernracer.com:
RSX Type S 0 - 60: 6.5
RX-8: 5.9
So nice attempt to down play the RX-8. Too bad you didn't do your homework beforehand.

Dunno, they were testing coupes, not sports cars. I think they were looking for a stylish semi luxurious ride, not a ***** to the wall performance car. The Z is obviously the fastest and they made that very clear. If that's what you're looking for, that would be the car to buy. It's what I was looking for so I bought one.
Look, if you're cross shopping with a TT, the Z probably isn't the best choice for you.

You all crack me up. Sounds a bit like the folks on RX-8 sites when something doesn't go their way. Do any of you really care what a magazine says about your Zs or my 8? I don't. As long as we enjoy driving these cars, everybody wins. I read the magazine at the library today...the scoring is subjective on what seems like half the ratings. Trunk space? Who cares? Got to have it? I don't even know what that means. They really should just test stock vehicles with no packages. Why does the 8 need a nav package in this comparison? On the other hand, it's a good thing they didn't include the Tiburon, it probably would have won.

Did anyone notice that the Z is much faster than the Shelby GT from a roll???Check out the 50-70mph and other acceleration figures. Z is almost 2 seconds faster from 50-70..So if you did a 50 punch bye bye GT........They may be close from a dig in the 1/4 mile but on the highway it appears the Z will leave the Mustang if Im understanding this correctly...The numbers for the Audi TT in that same catagory make absolutely no sense...Its doing Veyron numbers...WTF C & D

BTW I stopped giving credence to C & D comparos long time ago...Its pretty obvious something aint right over there.....How do you minus points for a SPORTSCAR NOT HAVING A BACK SEAT OR STORAGE SPACE?????????????
How do you let the absolutely anemic car win the performance catagory??????? Obviously money has crossed the table and C & D is trying to help Mazda sell RX-8's...end of discussion.....

^ And here I thought all C&D, MT, and R&T cared about was the Corvette. Silly me, that's why mikecamp chooses "Automobile" magazine exclusively for his ****.

As someone that used to own a RX-8, I can tell you that the car really doesn't compare to the Z. The Z is hands down faster. I feel that the Z handles better, the 8 would float around corners, the Z feels planted and more flat around turns. The interior I believe is on par with the 8 as well. And I am not the only person to switch from an 8 to a Z, and I really have not heard of anyone going from a Z to an 8, so I am not sure what C & D is thinking.

Car and Driver has to appeal to all folks, and frankly there are a few folks who would score points on how a car looks, rides in traffic, how many cup-holders, whatever.
For me, rank a sports car on what it is supposed to do. STop, go, and be able to apply grip.
As for comparos, the Z is a stronger car, but don't sell the 8 short on a road course, it is a capable car. Not 'quite' as refined, but not a slouch in the twisties in any stretch of the imagination.

Not sure if i'm reading it right in the image but in
http://www.acuraclubsa.com/c&d/C&D-6.JPG
for the Audi stats for the gear ratios it increase ratios from 1.08 to 1.09 from 4th to 5th. Any reasoning for having a higher 5th gear ratio than 4th and a small difference at that?

1st place in everything but not enough 'got to have it' points = last place.
