Default seats in 350z

This may seem a bit stupid, but when I went to test drive the 350z this weekend, I test drove the base model, and I found I really didn't like the driver's seat at all. It felt too small and cramped. Does anyone know if the leather seats are the same way? And I am being picky here? Let me know if anyone else has noticed this. I love everything else about the car, but am stuck on this one problem.

I am 180 lbs -- a real lightweight. I guess I might be used to the seats in my Acura RSX. They just feel a lot different. Any thoughts on trading in an RSX for a Z?

Id imagine its the side bolsters that are making you feel cramped, but if its any consolation, youll be lovin them when you take turns.

I looked at the RSX, and I know that those seats are like sitting in gods hand. hard to match that, but the 350 seats are nice, fine for drives under an hour, after that I find lower back support to be a little lacking. but its a fault I can more than accept.

yea the RSX seats are nice.
great support just under your axillary and on your lateral femoral region for taking turns. wish it also had medial femoral suport like the 350z does but its comfortable around your occipital and gluteal area. Good dorsal and illiac fitment.

Jeffrey, less than a week ago I traded in my Type S for a 350Z. The seats in the Z are not as soft as the seats in the RSX, but the layout of the seating position in the Z is FAR SUPPERIOR. In the RSX I could not help but wonder whose body the seating position was designed for. I am 6'2" 210lbs and could not find a good seat position. Legs were cramped if I wanted to reach the steering wheel, and for my legs to find room I had to lean forward to grab the wheel. Silly engineers. The Z is so much of an overall improvement over the RSX, and deceptively larger and heavier. I thought that I would miss my RSX, but since last Tuesday I have rarely thought about her. The Z is just a better engineered car... Period. Good luck with your decision.

Oh yea, I have owned an 89' Integra LS, a 96' GSR, a 97' Accord, and an 02' RSX Type S. I considered myself a true Honda fan and never thought that I would own anything else... until I test drove the Z that is I have not looked back.

Sorry Honda
