The Lowdown
I've been considering buying a 2004 350Z Enthusiast model but I've been doing some looking around the internet at reviews on these cars and I'm becoming hesitant to buy the car now. It seems like there is alot of problems, Things from bad tire wear, front end, drivetrain noise, and even engine problems? Im curious to know what some of the most common problems everyone has with these cars are and if there are really as many problems as there seems to be. I wouldn't think these Z's should be so poorly built, I'd love to get a Z but if I'm going to be forking money out all the time for new tires and fixing problems I'm going to have to look elsewhere. Let me know what I might be getting myself into. Thanks in advance for any help!

Not worried about the forum being "rough". Just want to know if the problems I'm reading about are ligit or if their full of it. Pretty simple question to have answered already.

I've got an early 04 and have only had two problems:
1. Tire Feathering - NNA made good on this problem by authorizing alignments and paid for the front set of tires.
Also: I replaced the factory Bridgestone Potenza RE040s with BFG KDW2s and have been happy ever since. That was done October 2005 - my driving habits haven't changed, Bridgestone Potenzas aren't good tires (IMO).
2. Window motors - Driver's side crapped out and was replaced under warranty. Passenger side has had a couple of slow moments and might crap out in time.

Coming from someone in LA, I like it. Come out to OK if you want to see what one actually looks like!
Those sound pretty typical for a car. I'll just have to see what kind of shape this one is in.

2004 Base, Tranny Replaced At 30k, Tire Feathering, 50k Somethin In My Fuel Tank Went Bad Causing My Fuel Gauge To Suddenly Drop To Empty Then Pop Back Up , And Some Engine Poppin, At Dealership Right Now Still Under Warranty. All Cars Have Problems....my 2007 300c Started Giving Me Problems Before It Broke 300 Miles, As Long As Theres A Warranty I Dont Really Sweat It, But I Wouldnt Purchase Without A Warranty.
