Default 1 Week old car victim of hit and run

i parked the car in the morning when i got to work on a quiet side street and when i got out of work i looked around the car didnt really see anything cause it was raining then i got to put the wipers on and i see a cvs ad on my winshield and i was like why do people have to touch the car and then i start to look at it and it has something written on it so i start reading it and it says "hit on left rear bumper/wheel and the guys plate number regards witness" that was real nice of someone but still i barely had 200 miles on it lol the bumper is cracked and the quarter panel is scuffed not dented thank god ill post pic's later i was so pissedd....

That's really good that witnesses were there to write it down. Hopefully they left their name and phone number so you can actually get the insurance to pay. Otherwise, you better hope that they can match the accident to the damage on his car.

Sorry to hear you got it, and such a young car. But look at it this way, you're first one is over early, so the rest shouldn't be so bad.

Good luck catching the piece that did it to you.

so you got a plate# from a witness.... witness sometimes writes down the wrong plate you know. That **** happened to me last year, some douchbag wrote down a wrong plate# and that happened to be my vehicle. Their insurance company has been after me ever since. The adjuster came inspected my car and they couldn't find any damage to my car. Bastards.

no dude, it isnt an english class. Errors like 'teh,' 'me car get stealen' etc, might be emitted...but damn, when you ignore commas and periods you're making everyone here process the information twice to understand it.

Dude get off the forums and contact the popo, file a report tell them a witness saw this and left a tag #. You also need to go ahead and contact your insurance company, sucks the witness did not leave his name and number. My insurance company would have rewarded the witness a couple grand for saving them from having to pay the claim. The popo should be able to find the person who did this. Also do you have um(uninsured motorist) coverage, if you can file a claim under that section of your policy to keep this from being a comp. claim.

The 350Z is your pride a joy. A ding, no matter how small, hurts. There are knots in your stomach. We know that. It has happened to 90 percent of us.

Contact your insurance company for assistance.
