Differences amongst 2006 350z's
 

i dont know if anyone has realized this, but there are differences between 2006 350z's and i have no idea why. for example, mine has a passenger airbag light that will light up and deactivate the airbag if the passenger is too light. but my friend's 2006 doesnt have that option, but he has an extra cup holder on his passenger side dashboard. it is so random....i dont understand why our cars have these 2 differences?:icon8:

I never knew this. I have the airbag light, and no extra cupholder. Does yours make a rear squeaking sound from the rear when you're rolling around 5mph or less?

Halfway through the year, they came out with an updated Airbag system (NISSAN Advanced Air Bag System) on the 2006 Zs. That's the differences.

How can I tell which one I have? The VIN is: JN1AZ34D46M309869

Look at the cover of your owners manual. It should say:

2006.5 350Z
OWNER'S MANUAL
(For vehicles equipped with NISSAN Advanced Air Bag System)

The initial cars just say 2006 350Z OWNER'S MANUAL

I was wondering why that light was always on when one of my ladies ride.

wow. i feel like a scientist who just discovered a new freaking...element or something. i thought i was going to sound like a total noob with that statement. but the cup holder would be on the left side, under your passenger side dashboard. you won't miss it, because otherwise there will be nothing there. and the passenger airbag light is on the roof, infront of the interior lights.

i don't believe so. but next time i go riding in it i'll check to see if i can hear anything. i haven't noticed before, if it does.

what i wanna know is it says the 07 has 5 cup holders, wtf does a 2 seater need with 5 cupholders? i mean before i quit drinkin i would have looked forward to a place for 5 beers but now i'm just confused :p

I think it has 6,

1 in each door, (2)
2 in the little slide cover tray and
2 in the center console (flip lid one)

I won't use any of em unless the drink has a lid or cap though.

6 cup holders for sports car is a very cool thing

I have noticed something in the rear sqweeking... sounds like a rear hatch bolt is loose or something.... I just turn the radio up so I cant here it :D haha It's not that loud though, just a lil irritating

My cover does NOT say 2006.5, I don't have the airbag light, but there is absolutely no cup holder on the passenger side dash, just the little pop-out coin or card tray and the DC receptacle jack below it.

The 2005's had a pop-out cupholder where the coin/card tray is. Did some 2006s still have the pop-out cupholder instead of the coin/card tray?

Yeah, but my flip up ones got removed by me. The door cupholders are total bs unless you got a can that is unopened. And the 2 under the slide cover get in the way of my shifting. My cupholders suck. Too bad they took the one off the passenger side, I could've actually used that one. :mad:

I dont think any 06 had the 05 pop-out cup holder, i bought my 06 in sept 2005 and mine doesnt even have it and mine was made in 05 as a 06 so i think the other guy had an 05 not an 06.
