actually took it pretty well considering. Sad to see though, also selling it i'm sure you would take a hit because of the accident report. Fix it, it will look as good as new.

to all to those saying its 'just a new panel.' isnt that rear quarter a part of the unibody? meaning it will need to be cut off and then welded back on at the seams.

Same thing happened to me too. It was a young chick though. They just replaced the rear quarter. Here are some before and after shots.

The problem is that when you get a new panel, it stands a good chance of having paint problems in the future. This is because the old panel will have to be cut away from the unibody and a new one welded on. The welds will rust over time and cause the paint to start peeling.

Make sure you get some kind of warranty on the work done from the body shop for 3-5yrs at least.

A good estimated cost of fixing that panel with a new one will be 2800-3800. If you also get a new rim and tire tack on another 1000.

definatly a new panel dont worry about that. Panels arent that hard to remove and install... well maybe becuase i used to be an autobody tech but anyway, it will be good as new... this that sucks is that youll probably have swirl marks in your paint after it kills me everytime i see it

It's called diminished value. You'll need to get your car appraised and have the appraiser type up a report. Of course the insurance company doesn't like paying money, so good luck.

when i got hit in my quarter panel by an old guy in a parking lot, i took it to the body shop and they said they dont replace quarter panels unless its the last option. because our panels are machine weld in the factory and removing it will be hard, plus the car's structure will never be the same again. your repair will cost a pretty penny. but i think from your damage, they will have no choice but to replace it.

Replace the planel and keep the car, or sell it. They would NEVER use bondo for a repair like that.

Rear Quarter panels are part of the body on nissans, so you need to find a junked 350, have the rear panel cut out, and welded onto your car.
NO NOT BONDO THAT. I would never put a single drop of bondo on my car, I'd rather have the dents popped. If you can find overfenders for the rear, that would be the easiest route to go.
