Non-HID headlights

Well i have seen the blue HID lights of the Z and I have to say that they look awesome. But unfortunately, i ordered a base model so i wont be recieving HID lights.

So I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of a Z with no HIDs with the lights turned on. I am very curious to see what my headlights will look like for oncoming traffic.

you could just swap out the bulbs.
on my CR-Vi just reploaced them with Carmate/Razo Premium White Zero bulbs, they look great.
rated @ 4550k, just about as bright as HID's
cost: 55-70$

sorry i didnt answer your question, just wanted to give some help if you wanted the HID look.

Back to my original question......

Does anyone have pictures of the Z with non-HID headlights turned on?

have you looked at the motor trend video, it has a shot of the 350z with the headlights on.
Then again since they tested the touring model the lamps are probably HID

It will take more than a bulb swap, the whole assembly and wiring is different.

Why do you care about oncomming traffic? I could care less about oncomming traffic, I'm more concerned about the jerk in front of me doing 55 in the left lane.

why is the wiring different? i think it is just a plug and play type of thing.

here is the razo light blub page if you want to swap em out. they have ratings to 6000k
razo lights

just scroll over the selection and it will give you a sample of what it looks like.

sorry again, i didnt answer you question.

Slexis200 08-07-2002 10:52 PM

less

The xenons take less, 35 watts, compared to the 55watts of the halogens. But yes the HID converstion kits include ballasts bulbs and wiring, all installed in less than 20 minutes. Not the blue bulbs selling for like 165 bucks?? i dont know what there thinking with those???? real ones will cost you the least 400, most likely 475, or 500..... Dont spend over 500........ People will claim to be better, but they really hardly are......

Slexis200 08-07-2002 10:53 PM

ooooops

oooops, i poseted thread instead of reply..... it was a reply to the xenon or non hid post...... Sorry!

No problem, I just merged the threads. This is the correct thread, right? -Ethan

Those are not True HID lights on that web page there. Those are just bulbs. But you can settle for those if it makes you feel good.
