What's your MPG?

God damn, I'm getting some real sh*tty gas mileage, compared to what I'm suppsoed to get. I've been driving with low rpms, and it says I get 13-15mpg, when, according to the paper, I should be getting 20-27. Now, I know no one ever gets the mileage on the paper, but I thought I would compare it to other Z owners.

So my question, how many miles to the gallon do you get?

16.7 mpg, 07 touring roadster.

AND IS IT REALLY THAT BIG OF A DEAL IF SOMEBODY ASKS A QUESTION THAT HAS BEEN ASKED?!!! IF YOU HAVE REPLIED IN THE PAST YOU DON'T HAVE TO REPLY AGAIN!

vnarang Nov 26, 2007 01:49 PM

Don't reply then dumbass. Also, I'm not asking about BOOSTED mpg, you f*cking dipshit. And in the end, I'm asking specifically what other peoples' MPG is, not how to raise mine.

Thank you. Much appreciated.

I thought my mpg was low too but oh well. I guess I have a lead foot :D

Bolaz Nov 26, 2007 01:50 PM

21 - 20 average

Nalizan Nov 26, 2007 01:50 PM

Recap of the many many many past threads about this :

you have to reset the gauge after filling up for it to be accurate.

mileage depends a lot on if you drive mostly city or highway

mileage depends a lot on if you have a lead foot

being in too high a gear and bogging the engine is not always good for gas mileage

do the math and figure out what the actual MPG is don't rely on the MPG gauge.

I personally average right around 20 MPG mixed city and highway

oh and SEARCH

I do that everytime. Everytime I fill up, I clear what it tells me my MPG is, and how many miles I have driven in that trip. Once again, I'm not asking how to raise my MPG, I'm asking other people what their MPG is. I'm sorry, I can't search, I'm blind. And I have figured it out by myself, and it tends to be that much.

You newbs are totally cluttering this site with questions that have been asked and posted a thousand times.

If you had half a brain cell you would have look at the other 108 threads related to MPG that did NOT deal with boosted Zs.

Maybe I did search. Maybe I just wanted to create a new topic, because I can, and wanted to. Maybe I thought it was outdated and wanted to create a new topic, with people saying "OMG! YOU BROUGHT AN OLD tHREAD BACK!" This is getting really stupid. Everytime anyone makes a post, there's always the search police b*tching about it.

Pretty sure I have more than 1/2 a brain cell. At least as an engineer I hope so otherwise some buildings might be burning down.

You oldies are totally cluttering these new threads with you pointless drivel and bitching about how to use the search function.

Don't respond in this thread. As I recall the title was what is your mpg not how do I use the search function.

17.5 mpg strong, I have a heavy foot and I hate shifting at 2000 RPMs.

Yeah rpms have to be at least at 5000 before I shift.

I shift at like 3k. :icon11:

Paul350Z Nov 26, 2007 02:35 PM

12.5 - 13.5 mpg in stop light to stop light driving. :icon22:

SniperHunter Nov 26, 2007 02:36 PM

~25 on the highways.
~16 city.

NYC is terrible for mileage.

ASW Nov 26, 2007 02:36 PM

approximately 23 mpg, 90mi/day, mostly highway.

rockinbboy Nov 26, 2007 03:00 PM

23-24 mpg. mix between highway and city..but mostly highway. I don't drive too aggressively. I shift between 2k-3k rpms and try to stay in the highest gear possible within reason.
