Z's long journey across the Atlantic Ocean begins.

Hey Guys,

My Z was picked up today and put on a truck and taken to a NJ warehouse port.

It will be going on a large container ship to Amsterdam and then transferred to a smaller ship to Italy.

This will take 4 to 6 weeks.

I pray that my Z will arrive in one piece.

The noob truck driver already managed to scrape underneath my front bumper when trying to get it up the steep ramp

It will be sad with no Z for such a long time :(

I'll make an update when the Z arrives.

Nah I just graduated from here and now I'm going back home.
Final destination is France.
The French Z forum is already kindly welcoming me lol

Yea apparently Infiniti is planning to start operating in Europe so this is perfect timing for me. I believe theyre planning to open 6 dealers in Germany alone. Hopefully I will land a job with Infiniti Europe :icon38:

Yea I am definitely planning on tracking the car once winter is over. I will be sure to visit as many tracks as possible and take lots of pics and videos too.

The actual shipping costs are not too bad but I will be getting screwed by customs once I arrive and will be mad to pay alot of tax :icon20:

Still cheaper than buying a new Z over there which I believe costs 40,000 Euros for the cheapest model.

Many many years ago I had my car shipped to Hawaii when I got stationed there. It was a dark blue car with a white interior. When I went to pick it up it was unbelievably dirty. The interior was totally trashed and looked like people with the dirtiest coveralls imaginable had been sitting in it. The exterior was equally dirty but a couple of days with a hose and a lot of elbow grease got it looking like new again inside and out. I also had left a couple of pillows, a blanket and some el cheapo tools in the car and they were all gone when I picked up the car (we were warned to not leave anything expensive in the car). I imagine that your car will arrive in good shape but check it carefully for any nicks or dents.

I am just wondering how much did that cost to transport overseas? I hope you have a great trip. What part of France do you live? I have a few friends from there, but I have to find out exactly what city.

I hope you and your car have a safe trip.

Transporting the car overseas is not much, it is about $800-$900.
