Default Anyone else tired of...

scraping speed bumps. My apartment just put in a bunch of new speed bumps, and I can barely get over them. If I don't go slower than 1 mph I either scrape the mud flaps, or even worse, I bottom out in the middle, and whatever I'm hitting, it sounds real solid. My car is not lowered at all, completely stock. I am 6'2 180lbs, so it's not like I am overburdening the car. My question is how can they put in these speedbumps that are possibly damaging my car??? I want to rent a bob-cat and rip them up. Maybe I should see if there are some kinds of regulations for speed bumps...

Wow! That sucks. You're at stock height and still scraping on speedbumps. I don't have that problem now, but I'm planning to drop my Z a bit in the coming weeks. I know I'm gonna hate it then. Best of luck to you.

yeah, I am looking around online to see if there are rules regarding the proper height. These things have to be illegal...

******* speed bumps. The problem is, you have a bunch of pissy old ladies that go to every city council meeting... and will get bumps put on every road.

If you're scraping on them at stock height, those things must be huge. Can you post some pics of them? Just curious to see how big they are. I've never heard of anyone having trouble on speedbums on stock height.

Have you tried complaining to the apartment management? Nothing constructed there should be any different than what you see out on public streets and I cannot fathom a speed bump that is "bumpy" enough to hurt a stock Z (no kit and stock height).

Try going at them at an angle and coming off at the opposite angle

+1 to above.

There are legal limits...at least in Cali. But your chances are zilich of getting relief, imo.

There is one speed bump like that by the gym I go too. I literally have to crawl over it or I scrape. I'm also at stock height. Ive seen others like it too. I would just be really careful and ease over them. You could try and fight it saying they are too high... dont know how that would turn out...

Don't you hate it when...

...someone makes a thread title that has no relation to the subject, thus wasting your time when it turns out to be something you have no interest in whatsoever?

If you need gimmicks to get people to read your thread, maybe you should just not make it. I know I don't give a damn about you scraping speed bumps.

I rented a road grader and leveled all speed bumps within 100 miles.

You are quite the humorous little douchebag, aren't you? You must post garbage like that because you know you wouldn't talk to someone like that to their face. Sweet release, huh?
