Police are looking for a possible suspect described as a white male with a thin build in his mid 20's. He's driving a silver 2003 Nissan 350Z.

Body Found In Basement
Murder on Springfield's North Side

A body has been found in the basement of a north Springfield home this afternoon. Springfield Police found the body of 57 year old Gaylen Terrill at 1718 N.Summit around 12:50 this afternoon..

Neighbors say Terrill was the former principal at a Springfield R-12 school. Mike Potter lives next door. He says the victim was a great neighbor. "He was a nice guy, always willing to help someone out." Potter adds Sunday evening was the last time he saw anyone coming or going from the home.

Springfield R-12 spokeswoman Terressa Bledsoe tells Springfield 33 News Terrill was a 29 year veteran of the district, retiring in 1997.

Terrill's body was discovered after an anonymous tip was phoned into the Greene County Sheriff's Department..

Police say he has no gunshot wounds, but are waiting for the medical examiner's office to find out how he died.

Police are looking for a possible suspect described as a white male with a thin build in his mid 20's. He's driving a silver 2003 Nissan 350Z. Authorities say Terril and the possible suspect shared the car. If anyone sees this vehicle they are asked to call police at 864-1010 with a license plate.

Investigators say they have no motive for the killing yet or how long the victim has been dead.

The police know what the motive is, they just said it - they shared the car! That idea was a disaster waiting to happen. They guy wanted the Z all to himself. As soon as he committed the grizzley act, he took off joyriding in the Z which was now all his.

Unreal. How do you share a car anyway?? I mean if it isnt with your relative or significant other?? Significant other?!?! :confused: :(

The dead dude is 57 and he "shared" it with someone in his "mid-20s". Good one, gooters, "Significant other?!?!" LOL

Let this be a lesson, you don't share a z. Or maybe there is another lesson here;) ?? !!

Wow, I'm a white male in my mid 20's with a thin build driving a silver 2003 Nissan 350Z. Thank the lord I'm in Canada. I dont need to be stopped by 20 cops with guns drawn.
Does sound a bit strange that a 50 something would share a car with a 20 something. I wonder if he used to go to the same school and if so how often he misbehaved in class so he could have some "extra curricular activities" in the principals office. Thats bad, I shouldn't joke about a murder. forgive me.
