My Boss Dinged My Z!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UNBELIEVABLE!!
Wait to you hear this...
I clean my car ALOT so I know every new mark I get on it, rock chip, etc...
I clean my car yesterday, real nice, I was going to a car show with my daughter but when we got there it was rained out. I have no dings at this point.
We decide to go to my mothers, one car driveway impossible to get ding here. We go home and no cars can park next to me at home so impossible to get ding here.
I go to work this morning and still no ding. We all have reserved spots at work but I never park in mine as I do not trust other cars/people. So I park on the side of the building so I can see my car from my office and I am like 5 spots away from anyone.
My partner is out today (playing golf) so I park in his reserved spot, his is a corner spot in which only one car can park next to it. That car is my bosses brand new yellow convertible Thunderbird. So I nave no worries.
I go to lunch with a co-worker and I drive (any excuse to drive the Z), still no ding, we go to a busy deli for lunch, but I park in far right corner where next to the passenger door is woods and no cars are within 7-8 spots of driver side door.
Back to office still no ding. I leave work at 4pm by myself so I don't look at passenger door.
I get home and begin to clean car as it is dirty from yesterdays rain. I notice a mark dead center on the passenger side door right over the crease. I'm like WTF!! I figure some sort of scratch and I Meguiar it out pretty easily. (I'm obviously in denial now)
It looks a little odd, but I'm like ahh it's just the sunlight hitting it at a funny angle. My cousin stops by and he walks up and goes "HOLY ****" who dinged your car.
Damn.... I look at it closer and it is so obvious, right on the crease, ruining the beautiful lines of the Z, it is super obvious by looking at it form the rear tire angle. Now I'm pissed!!!!!!!!!
I retrace EVERY MOVEMENT in my whole day, because I am positive it had no ding when I cleaned it yesterday and the only solution is it had to be dinged when a car was parked on the passenger side. I was only in one spot in which that was possible and there was only one car there. MY BOSSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She never said a word to me (maybe she will tomorrow morning), she had to know she hit my car, everyone knows when their car door hits another car. Everyone at the office knows how much I clean my car and how nice I keep it, it's a no brainer that she knows it happened.
I just called my friend who has a company called "dent extractor", he's coming to look at the car tomorrow, hopefully he can fix it. (Fingers crossed, toes too.)
So what do I do, get it fixed (like 50-75 bucks hopefully) and eat it.
Or do I confront my boss and maybe cause tension if she denies it?
If it's a problem that is more serious, like body work and paint, I will no doubt confront her.
I hope she actually confronts me in the morning

Confront her first thing in the morning. Be business like, calm, because losing your temper could be a lot more costly than 50 bucks. You are in control here, play your cards wisely and you should end up with your boss owing you a few favors, which is always a good situation.

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGG! That sucks. If your buddy can get it out I would probably eat it. You only have circumstantial evidence that it was her. If you say somthing and she denies it you end up looking like an A-hole.

Sounds like a raise is in order.
Really though, remember civility.
It might help to use phrases like:
"I know that you love your car as much as I love mine, but..."
"I know it wasn't in any way intentional..."
If your merits are demonstrated by your work, then you shouldn't worry about facing the can or bad vibes because of this. And the worst that she could do is say "no." But then again, I don't know her... she might be a real b*tch....

Depends on the relationship you have with your boss. If you guys hang out at happy hour or social events like that, then by all means mention it in a casual way. But make sure she knows tomorrow that you need a few personal minutes to talk with the dent guy. Most dent repair guys come to your work, so that would be a great time to ask your boss if you can step outside for a few minutes to talk with the dent guy. She will probably ask what happened and you can say that you got a dent yesterday at work. 1+1 = 2 right, she should figure it out. But I highly doubt she will mention it to you without you bringing it up in some roundabout fashion.
One thing about dent repair people, everytime I had a ding repaired on any of my cars, they drill a hole in the panel closest to the ding and then plug it when they are done repairing it. In your case they will probably drill a hole in your door panel where it is not visible and then plug it with a rubber plug. This is why most dent technicians prefer you dont watch when they repair the ding. If you want to get it done correctly, I advise you goto a body shop and have them solder a pin into the ding and have them pull it out, sand it down, repaint the area around it, and clear coat it. Should run 200--300 dollars at most body shops.

LMAO topdaytrader!
If you were both facing the same way in the spaces, would it have been HER door or her passenger's door? If the cost is low, I would probably eat it. If it is higher, I would approach her professionally, but first brush a tiny bit of your touch-up paint on the edge of her door!
Let us know what happens. Also, it is my understanding that for minor dings, you can do paintless dent repair that looks great for $20-$50? Call a hail damage specialist.

lol...yeah I would probably put a hockey stick sized ding in her car and see how she likes it. Easton makes a nice stick called a synergy...nice and light so you can go for the full swing.

UPDATE!!!
I decided not to approach her, maybe she'd approach me. I basically decided I'd rather not strain a good relationship over a few bucks, (unless the dent guy can't fix it and it has to go to the body shop.)
Thursday at work:
She's in meetings early. At about 10 am we cross paths, she's walking down the hall with someone and I'm walking towards them. He says hello to me and she looks at the ground like her shoelace is untied (except she's wearing heels.)
Now she usually will say hello to me from like 30 feet away even if she has to yell as we get along very well.
I assume she knows she hit my car and she's embarrassed, I leave work at 11 as I went to the Yankee game yesterday. (no I didn't take the Z to the stadium)
So she didn't say hello to me at work that day for like the first time in 3 months. (Guilty???)
Thursday night:
It's raining and dent guy is going to Jersey for the weekend (English Town) so we make an appointment for Sunday night.
Friday morning:
I'm in someone's office argiung/joking about the Yankees/Mets (I'm the stupid Met fan). This office is right across from hers. She comes in a says hey keep it down, I can hear you 100 feet away. She is completely joking and she joins the conversation as she usually would because she's like one of the guys. She doesn't say a word about the car.
Now I'm assuming she probably thinks she hit my car and nothing happened because I didn't say anything, so she goes back to being super-friendly.
I leave office at 11 as I played golf today. (Easy about my work load, this is all with clients....LOL). Before I leave I talk to a buddy who will casually mention to her "can you believe someone dinged Robert's car while he was parked in (his partners) spot."
Maybe she'll say something to him.
There's the update and I will call him now and see what she said, if anything.
Dent guy said standard price is like 125, but since he's a friend 50 bucks if I'm paying.

Hey Snoopy I play Ice like 4 times a week.
I've had 5-6 Synergy's, 3 Mission M1's, two Responses, 1 CCM Vector, 2 Bauer Tri Flex.
Actually had a synergy in the car when it was dinged.
I've had 3 missions as 1 was a warranty replacement, a 100 flex Rafalski, 1 I bought, and 1 I got from Lacouture of the Rangers.
2 Bauer TriFlexs... 1 bought 1 warranty replacement. Peca
Two Responses, 1 again a warranty replacement Messier model, both broke first night I used them.
1 Vector Recchi model, too slipppery hated it.
Silver synergy (actually a grip as it was Rob Neidermeyers, pro-stock) 3 gold grips all Sakic flex 100 or 110, 1 Yellow Synergy, and one Brian Leetch Si-core Synergy.
My buddy gets all Ranger stuff and sells it pretty cheap.
If I didn't buy sticks, I'd have an exhaust and kit on my car.....LOL
Ranking.
