Good for the OP. I hope he has fun repairing it and enjoys the car. How dare he buy the car, proceed to fix it and ENJOY doing it without consulting the all knowing Z Gods of this forum. Let's hope he puts up several poll threads asking about paint color, types of wheels and engine mods so he can pick up whatever is popular at whatever the agreed price of the forum says instead of what he likes. It's all of our money after all.

Also. Good luck matching PPW for cheap........
But let's calculate how much he could get for some of the parts:
Engine: $4000 (???)
Transmission: $500 (???)
Headlights: $800
Taillights: $250
Wheels: $750
Suspension: $200
Brakes: $250
Exhaust: $400
Interior: $300
Part it out and Buy and Unwrecked 08 Z.

Um, no. He asked if anyone knew of the car. He posted what he paid but he never said "Gee guys, is that too much?" Who gives a rats ***. he isn't using my money. Go him. If he wants to put $100,000 into a beat up Z, go for it.

I save on the labor, and I wouldn't be able to afford an 2008 Z with that kinda mileage on it. I'll keep you updated on how it goes. I found a receipt in the car and contacted the previous owner. Turns out he hit a patch of ice and hit a lamp pole. He's actually a member of this forum, I forgot to ask what his SN was though.

i would have thought it's a bad deal as well up until he said his dad has a shop... clearly that right there means that his dad probably went with him to check out the car to make sure that it's "fixable," to say the least.
some of you need to take that sand outta your vaj. what if he didn't want to finance for a brand new Z or even a semi used Z? i can laugh at everyone on this board that finances their Z's for buying a car they technically cannot afford. but i don't. yes i paid for my Z cash, and yes the military did help.
op, don't worry about the flamers, they are just trying to start **** to compensate for their small *****.

Why is it that we never answer the question the poster asks?!
No one seems to know who's Z that is...its a late model with no mods and in a state that has low activity on this forum.
since that's taken care of...HORRIBLE buy
watch the news...recession..they are giving cars away esp pleasure cars
but fixing it will be like phucking your overweight cousin
you will learn alot and love her once u are done...but you will regret it after a few years

I just paid 15K for my '03 Touring with 33,xxx miles.... to help give some perspective. Good Luck with build. Any money you spend extra will be worth it for the experience(unless it's a Gawd Awful Ridiculous amount )
