Default Kneepads where art thou?

Ok so ive spent all of today looking for these famed Knee pads on the 04 that i just picked up on tuesday, and i dont see them. I know I have an 04 because the book says 04, i have the extra cig lighter, the seat bealt extender, and the window sticker to prove it.. The thing i don't get is where are the kneepads. I have an Enth, by any chance where they only offered on high end models?
Searches here and on Nissan.com have proved poor. Im not exactly complaning, from the pics ive seen they aren't that great looking, I was just wonder what the deal is. Any takers?

the extra outlet is below the dash cup holder... if i remember correctly. i havent used mine yet.

would be cool to have that knee pad... the website also states that the 04's will have an airbag on/off switch. dont think there is one either. i know i cant find it.

owell, Im sure the pads will be an easy upgrade.

tho I thought about it a few weeks ago, I TRIED to get my knee to hit that area, I could not physicly bend my leg into a position for it to come close to touching without pulling my foot way off the gas pedal(and hold it in the air)

Id have to see more of it, maybe sit in a car at the dealer, cause I really cant figure out where that comes in.

That's got to be the first time I've ever seen the phrase "Kneepads where art thou?" Nice work!

I'm anxious for the knee pads also. I've checked with courtesy and they don't have a clue. I definitely need them. Now, I haven't found the extra cigarette lighter though...am going out to look now!!

I don't have the extra cigarette/power outlet. I have an 04 roadster. Guess I'm out of luck. That's why I gotta have a cordless radar. srm

I swear, am I out of my mind? anyone else NOT able to get their knee anywhere near the center console while in a driving position? mine hits the side support of the seat before it gets close.

When I get done with track days, both my knees are practically raw on the sides. Right one from the console, left one on the door. It's just from trying to hold yourself in place when driving at or near the limit. My race seat goes in soon and that should hold me nice and tight along with my 5pt, so I shouldn't have that issue any more.
