Can't burnout my new Z
I bought a 2008 touring model with 12,000 miles on it about a week ago. Yesterday I decided I was confortable enough with the car to try my first burnout. I disengaged my TCS/VDS, reved up to about 5k RPMs and to my surprise, my clutch stuck to the floor. Anyone have any idea what may be causing this?

not burning out is a good thing, shows that your car has good traction and you go when you step on the gas. nothing more embarrasing than spinning the wheels at the wrong time. leave that for the teenagers trying to impress the girls at the local burger joint. unless that is what you are trying to do......

This will not end well for you.

07 - 08 z have a weak clutch, so it could be your slave cylinder .... next time do this - start a roll in 1st and then floor it , then drop in 2nd and keep 'em burning !!!

software prevents you from doing a standing burnout (see brake light fuse)... you can do a peel out though...
|
take ur brake light fuse out ( under the steering wheel) and u can sit there for days..dont over rev tho =P

A pack of Marlbolo should give you the smoke you are wanting... Me personally would rather keep the car moving down the track. LOL

Congratulations.
Your tires have good traction. |
Try a reverse burnout!!!! why do a burn out? what does it accompish? you getting new tires! if you got money ok its one thing but when you start shilling out 600 - 800 (if you get the whole set) your ass won't be burning out. enjoy your car and take care of the baby and finesse it
