Do I get upset with street racing these days? Yes, because I realize there is a proper spot for it... Are there times that I'd love to rip someone out of a car or off a bike and beat some sense in them for their actions? You bet! Will I do it? No, but I won't hesitate to pick up the phone and dial those three magic numbers and hope the officer gets to meet them.
I admit, I street raced...should I? Absolutely not! Gone are the days of the local officers being willing to block off a section of in-construction highway (my dad and his friends had this luxury)... Today's traffic loads are so much greater than what we had even 20 years ago...and street racing is leading to more and more deaths.
I'm glad the OP is alive and is going to come out of this ok. I'm also very thankful that no one else got hurt.
