Default TPMS Reset, Relearn

28.70 + 11.00 shipping + 3.00 tax = tpms reset. All tires have been filled with up to and more than 35 psi, but the indicator remained lit. Searching forums came empty handed with a discontinued OTC product. Just reset by inserting the harness into the passenger side molex for the trigger five times withing ten seconds. Just have to drive it around now that the indicator is lit solid, now. : D

Finally got around to adding a little rubber to the rear.

So the setup is as follows:

Front:
18x8.5" w/ 245/40/18

Rear:
18x8.5" w/ 265/40/18

Tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

What an INCREDIBLE difference in driving feel between a 245 and 265- it feels the way it should have come from the factory. The car feels substantially more planted and predictable.

I've not done many mods that put a smile on my face like this one- it's like having a different car now. Nice 1-2-3 chirps, launching from 2k rpms resulted in a couple wheel hops and then it hooks and you're gone! I can tell the rear end isn't nearly as willing to give up as with the 245's through some tight sections. Some people like the rear end to step out a little bit- I on the other hand prefer traction.

I know this isn't an aggressive setup by any means, but for stock power this size really fits the bill. There is a LITTLE bit of roll in the sidewall, not a huge fan of the look but it doesn't bother me either. I wouldn't recommend going any wider on a stock rim though.

Some pics:

Now I just need to grab a G37 diff.

Mainly because I'm too cheap to come off of it for a really nice diff/ r&p.

It's the same diff as a 370Z, just that the G37 diffs are more plentiful and (hopefully) abused less.

Reason is because I have a base model with an open diff. Rather than swapping a 3.53 350Z diff, I'd prefer "upgrading" to the G37/370Z with VLSD & a 3.69FD.

Front wheels are 8 inches wide unless you have 4 back wheels, the 265s seem to fit ok on their... Wonder how 275s would look... My car seems to have plenty of traction with 245s cant even remember the last time I heard a chirp in any gear.

Probably my 04s lack of power mixed with the vlsd

Yeah it's a set of four rear wheels. I've read about people doing the 275/35 with success, but I just think that's a bit too wide for a 8.5" wheel. Maybe it does have something to do with the open diff, but it would just shred the tire at moments notice with the 245 (with good tread). Forget about launching. Not having it go all squirrelly on me going into 2nd is an added bonus, too
