$400 helmets are good enough for me. Im not sure what you get for $4000. Yeah; it's light, includes HANS clips but, didn't even have a fresh air inlet.
That store sees a lot of wealthy racers. The guy that came in the day before was in his new Porsche 918. Thats the normal.

I have a Shoei RF-1200 from my riding days. I installed HANS anchors on it (well, I had a shop do it). By far one of the most comfortable helmets I've had. Could have better airflow, but I'll end up replacing it with a nice Stilo at some point. Maybe while I'm at PRI I can negotiate a deal with them.

Initially went in to get my Energy Suspension bushings installed on the front of the car. They found a faulty wheel bearing on the driver's side and and two sections of my exhaust that need to be spot welded to fix leaks.

Oh, and since we're sharing helmet stories for some odd reason mine only cost a fraction of $4k yet does the job just fine.

I made an oops.
But really... brass? C'mon.. Only downside to the Momentum kit so far. I've got a steel replacement on the way, had to overnight that thing. Probably still not getting here until Monday though -.-
Finished the new oil cooler setup finally, just gotta wait to put the new oil feed T in and then finish the plumbing down there. Hopefully no more leaks.
Working on finding out what's up with the oil temp sensor now and then fixing an exhaust rattle as well.

Been replacing various things this week as I am installing my new coilovers...fought with a seized bolt in the upper knuckle/shock bushing for hours today. Eventually said "screw it" and cut the legs off the old junk K-Sport that it was stuck in. Just recently got the core out and made a tool that will hopefully work to get the outer portion pulled out later. Total PITA...
