My new on-car bushing removal kit showed up at 9 PM last night. I'm going to try to change out the rear shock bushings tomorrow without pulling the whole stupid knuckle assembly off the car. If that doesn't work, then I'll just park the Z until my new 30-ton press arrives and do it the hard way. I'm really getting sick of the clunking noise still being there now that the new suspension is on.

Yeah we got like a solid foot of snow, it sucked, and was really windy... Funny thing you mentioned my wife, actually kinda messed up... While I was finishing up my Frankenstein radio she was outside snow blowing...

Warmed up to about 45f so I took Betty off the jack stands, torqued the suspension while on the ground (which wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be) and took her out for a short drive.
New Bilstein B6’s, Mood sway bar links and Prothane sway bar bushing = No more freeway bounce! Didn’t get to push it too hard because the roads are covered in gravel.
Now just have to put the front back on the stands, pull the wheels and reinstall a kotter pin on each side and that will be that.

On the cell phone you just hit that little mountain picture and follow the prompts. Thats what I do anyways. This site makes it very easy to upload photos.

(So... the drum roll... I'm happy to report the clunking from the rear is GONE!! ) <--- NOPE!
EDIT: I spoke too soon. The clunk has returned after less than 5 miles.
To reiterate, some of the things I'd already tried:
1. New mounting plate gasket + lube
2. KYB shock mount kit
3. New Koni shocks
4. New Moog control arms
5. New Moog end links & Hotchkis sway bars
6. Z1 Motorsports Prothane diff mounts
Again, the suspension & diff mount project was already in the pipe, so I had planned to do it anyway (and I'm really pleased with the result.) I hoped that the swap would cause the clunking sound in the back to go away, but no dice, Chicago. It turned out to be the rear shock mount bushing all along. The original bushing I pulled was jiggly, like a pig in a blanket. I'll get to the passenger side in a few weeks; no rush since it isn't clunking.

Half way to work. Heard some stuff... maybe. Could it be? By the time I parked in the garage, the clunking was back.
I'm getting microphones. The weird thing is, everything I've replaced so far needed replacing. The clunk is like the magical pot of brown at the end of a turd rainbow.

Well.. I ran over a fuking huge dead deer this morning on my way to work. Saw it at the last second and thought, ah ***. Had to pull over cuz ***** was dragging. It completely ripped out my front passenger side wheel well splash guard.. Could be worse. Still fuking irritated.
