you mean, how would you? It wasn't my work and maybe they didn't warm the paint enough.

I hate it when a mistake leads to forced new mod(s). I've had a few of those, usually works out for the better but still...

Sold it, RIP and after 14 years on these forums (had a different acct that was perm banned for some dumb **** several years ago) this is my farewell. To date myself some, i remember watching videos of JHC's Z thinking it was the baddest car on the planet, i remember when dkmura was DavidZ and NOT a moderator. (was always so helpful!) Over and above, i will miss the community involvement and wealth of knowledge these forums provided me thru the years. When it's time, it's time. godspeed to you all.

Default Mishimoto Nissan 350z Racing Thermostat

Hey guys so I brought Mishimoto Nissan 350z Racing Thermostat.. I have 2006 350z 6MT.. my question is would it effect my ecu or make me have checks engine.. since the mishimoto thermostat cools down at 154 and the OEM cools down at 174 I believe .. would it create problem if I put the mishimoto thermostat???

The thermostat should open around 195F. You shouldn't have any problems with codes or performance. The biggest risk is installing it backwards, so make sure it's installed correctly, refill your radiator and reservoir and check for leaks where you worked. Watch your dash temp closely for a while and make sure the coolant tank stays full. If your temp goes up you may have trapped air in the system, then check the "Burb" thred.
GL!

In very cold weather, the ECU might throw a Coolant too cold code depending on what radiator you are running. If you daily in all type of weather, I would suggest returning to OEM thermostat ( don't buy any of the autozone/advanceauto , they fail within weeks ). Our engine clearances are happy at 180F.

In track mode, the Z will see a better coolant flow (i.e. better cooling capacity) with the nismo/mishi thermostat, the lower temp does not affect anything else ( other than warming up car for 1 lap before hitting it hard)

Cleared my airbag light on my dash. It came on out of nowhere, and I didn't touch no cords or anything. Stock seats, steering wheels, radio etc. Must have been the 10 bottles of detailers chilling behind the driver seats rolling around when it went off.

Going to bite the bullet to send out injectors to ID for Flow Test & Cleaning for $150... but those APR cooling plate in marketplace looks appealing Orz

Early this morning dropped the oil pan to take care of an oil leak. Resealed the pan then attack the oil cooler and replaced oil cooler o-ring. Installed a new filter and filled her up with oil. She is free from anymore oil leaks. Sun peak out a bit and headed over to get my wheels and tires on then ripped up a little thread. After that took a few pics before the sun went away. It's been a long day, but well worth it.

^^ What wheels are those (brand, size, and offset)? They look good. I like black against polished rims.

Finally went to a square setup. My old te sagas in bronze are up for sale. Glad I went with a +22 for right now.

Will be doing a comparison between my old RE71R and these new RSRRs. Also they shaved off a substantial amount of weight with the Sagas compared to the SLs.

Amazing post, how does a square set-up feel? What's your wheel spec?

I've been casually talking to a friend about getting TE37 RT or TE37 with 19x10.5 +22 / 19x11.5 +12 so I'm really curious.
