Managed to throw on my spacers- really pleased with the results in the looks department. I can't help but feel a little anxious knowing they're down there though. I know I'm going to be a little overzealous checking up on them the next few weeks
just to clarify for anyone interested:
Bilstein B8
Swift Spec-R Sport springs 1.2"(F), 1.0"(R)
18X8.5" @ +33mm (4)
245/40/18(F), 265/40/18(R)
20mm front spacer (B2AutoDesigns)
25mm rear spacer (same)
Pics:
Spacers appeared to be of good quality- and I'm always appreciative of a sugary taffy.
*excuse the blurry dusk pics. The cracked glass that covers the camera lens on my Note 3 allows humidity in- should really invest in a camera one of these days.

n0smoke… Great selection on shocks and springs! The drop looks perfect, and the spacers flush-up the setup. Very Nice!

How do those 265 tires fit on the 8.5 wheels? I was thinking about running 235/40 fronts 255/40 rears... I have the touring model blues so I need to worry about the traction control.

1.2 factor..... (8.5 * 25.4) * 1.2 = 259mm.... round up to 265 is fine. Not optimal but close enough for jazz.

Thanks for all the kind words. As much as I like the way it looks, the way it DRIVES is really what's sweet. Everything you've read about the Swift/Bilstein setup is true- more relaxed over bumps and road undulations, more controlled when pushing it. Best of both worlds!
The 265's work fine for me- there is a really slight bulge, but not big enough to look sloppy or worry about. They stay exactly at the air pressure I set them at with the occasional fluctuation of a pound or two in accordance with temp- as do the fronts.

Me, too and tunnel brace
Finally got my rear subframe connector brace from ultra racing. Ever so slightly heavier then the OE brace. Gives more clearance for accessing the exhaust flanges which is a major plus that i was not expecting. Definitely looks alot better then the damaged brace that I bought the car with.

Glad to hear you finally got it out. To try and make you feel better.... Just imagine how much money you saved if you had to pay someone to take the old one out. Now you can smile and think of the brand new shiney one that is going in

I have though about getting a heavier duty tunnel brace but is at the bottom of my to-do list. There is actually another brand that I was wanting to go with once I bite the bullet. Can't think of the name at the moment but saw it on RHDjapan website. Not sure if I like the ultra racing mounting on the tunel brace. Either way it is far stronger then the factory. Gratz on the install.

Finally got the new wheels on the car after refinishing them. Rather pleased with the result and such a rare set of wheels. Now to finish this vinyl wrap...

BUT then you don't get the satisfaction of working on your own car.
FYI they sell mini acetylene torch kits which makes exhaust work a piece of cake
