Changed the plugs and injectors... Boost should be done by next weekend.

Just waiting on the impact gun to get delivered for those stubborn rusted cat bolts.

I tried reading... But I left the plugs at stock gap out of the box... Boost guys whata your gaps?

I think stock gap should be fine for my base tune. Probably need to reduce once we start tuning.

I finally got around to pulling the left rear axle yesterday to clean and re-lube the spindle per the TSB to get rid of that annoying clicking sound I got every time I accelerated or reversed. Had a look at the entire rear end while I was under the car. The only hitch was a slightly mushroomed axle nut when I was trying to whack the axle out of the spindle and that it took a while to line up the rear spring carrier, which I had to drop with a jack to give me clearance to remove the axle. I replaced the mushroomed axle nut with a Dorman from O'Reilly's, which I wasn't all that impressed with. Next chance I get, I'll go to the stealership to get an OEM replacement.

I think I'll go ahead and clean and grease the other axle in a couple weeks, just to know that I've done both ends. It really wasn't that big a job; just dirty and it didn't help that it was cold outside. My garage space heater can only do so much. I'll probably change out my MTF and do an oil change when I go after the right axle. With all the bolts in that rear end, I'm glad I don't live in the rust belt.

Oh, I came to the realization that the long Proto dikes I bought from fleabay are NOT USA-Proto tools (even though they're marked as such.) I have REAL Proto tools that I bought at a place called Tool Town and they're pretty much indestructible. I bought the dikes about a year ago are for removing cotter pins. When I used them yesterday to uncurl the pin from the spindle, the handles bent. When I tried to cut off the end of the pin, the cutter blade deformed. I shouldn't be all that surprised that I got scammed on eBay, but it still pisses me off. I bought a decent set of Knipex dikes from Amazon for the next go around. The fake dikes are now sitting in my recycle bin.

You cant throw away a tool no matter how cheesy or broken... Next project your into you will need it for sure... Think you can get the axle nuts from Z1, if you make frequent purchases it might save you from Nissan dealer frustration.

I just saw that Z1 has nuts. Do you know if they're OEM? They look a lot like the Dormans. The OEMs are a bit on the beefy side and they use a softer metal.

Man, I gave up on saving broken tools. I used to have a crate full of them (mostly used up air tools.) Now I just throw them in the recycle bin. Unless they're my Snap-Ons, S-Ks, REAL Protos or Wrights, it's not really worth going through the hassle of dealing with warranties. I stopped trading in broken Craftsman tools about 15 years ago, when the quality of their stuff took a complete nose-dive. And now that Armstrong just went out of business, those are all just break-n-toss.

I'm going to start a tool photo thread sometime this week. I need to re-inventory what I have anyway.

Got rear ended at a stop sign 3 months ago and finally went to get an estimate to get my bumper repainted today after washing it; although on the way there I was rear ended again.. 5 Accidents in 3 years of ownership, all while I wasn't moving. On the bright side, I'll finally get the body work done I'v been putting off. Fun Day.

That sucks on so many levels. Out of curiosity, how many of the 5 accidents were caused by retired people driving Cadillacs?

Actually, none. The list is~
Hit and run(red light)- Old van
Drive Thru- young kid in a van
Two red lights- Both in 2010-ish hondas, under 20 as well.
Stop sign- A 16 yr old who just got his license 2 months prior to hitting me, in a 03 mazda.

Living near 2 colleges seems to be my issue.

Hey hey hey hey! I fit that Caddygory!! Well, I did until I sold my neighbor my last Cruella DeVille. (Hey, don't blame me, I "inherited" all three from my pops!)

OK, got an ethnic joke here.... anyone opposed, please avert your eyes.

Mic (the old retired Asian guy) went to the eye doc and got an exam. Doc says, "Mic, I'm sorry to tell you that you have cataracts."

Mic say: "That cannot be, Doctor, I have Rincorn Continentar."

I'm very sorry.
