I finally found a driver's window switch, it's being sent out as we speak. Hopefully I can start using my windows again, and they don't roll down every time I open the door

By re-index, do you mean the Nissan TSB for the window motor reset? If so, yes, that didn't make a difference. I'm pretty confident it is the switch. As long as the driver's switch is unplugged I have no issues. Put it back in, shut the car off and open the door, both windows roll down. I consulted a tech about it. I have a bit more info in my Thread if you want to take a peek.

Lol good job trying though. I'm doing my in black suede soon. Starting with the center console arm rest. Still need to source the fabric paint and I guess krylon black fusion for the map lights.

I reset the Passenger Window Motor and re-installed the Door Card today. My car is halfway back to normal.

I brought my car to the dealership last night to get a new evaporative emission vapor vent tube installed under the extended warranty. What would normally be a 20-minute trip to the dealership took me an hour and a half to make because a giant sinkhole took out the main road I was on.

This is the second time I've had one of these vent tubes installed under warranty (the first replacement never really worked out.) Last weekend, I caught the gas pump shutting off over and over for 15 gallons on video, so there wasn't much argument from the dealership about the problem still being there. Hopefully, I can pick the car up tonight.

The Z has been in the garage since Halloween and will remain there until April 15th, you guys are lucky to be driving them year round!!

Just ordered an AdminTuning 3.5" intake and a 5" billet aluminum short antenna from VMS racing. If Z1 could get back to me on their out-of-stock forward mount strut bars.....

I have about a month of driving to do without the big intake, including a few Friday night passes at 10-12 deg C in April... so I figured WTH, the old Injen filter is pretty beat up and ended up putting in their new filter design for CAI's (short rammed) which has a plastic velocity stack built at the top of it. Big intake, big TB, big spacer, forward mount strut bar all going in on May 17th. Undecided about a lightweight crank pulley, prolly not worth the money.

I can't figure out how this works. Mind explaining?

My question is, is there actually another filter below/inside inside that v-stack "cover"? Because it looks like it dumps directly INTO the filter without actually filtering... and if it does, you can see my confusion over a "filter that doesn't filter".

Have seen the filters with a v-stack built in AFTER the filter into the intake tube but...

I think the confusion = you think the plastic cone has a hole in it by design?

It's simply a closed, inverted cone that sits there in lieu of a flat surface. Not sure if Injen did any R&D with this, why would they replace their own filters otherwise?

I don't know enough about airflow dynamics to say whether air entering a filter that has an upward conical "bottom" makes any difference.

They call it a "velocity stack"... well, it's not.

It's not a hole. Just checked with a flashlight.

Thanks. More MARKETING hyperbole. Gawd, I hate them for targeting the gullible with buzzwords. And NO, sales and marketing are NOT the same discipline. Salespeople only lie based on what marketing people tell them.

Hahahaha.... why yes, I spent my entire career in sales, why?

Made in the USA, it says.

Speaking of gullible, I'll clean the old one real good and when the big intake goes in and I'll package it for a local sale, CAI w/ 2 filters.

Used intakes are the best bang for your buck. I would buy it.

I hadn't thought of the marketplace, honestly... didn't think someone in the US would care for ordering from Canada.

Oh and you're not stock.

I said gullible because I know it'd be an 18-20 yr old kid here buying it for whatever VQ35DE car they're driving, expecting meaningful gains without buying other parts... much less considering a tune down the road.

I got a stubby. Also did an oil change, replaced the oil pressure sensor, cleaned out the battery box, began prepping for the new chassis stay assembly, ball joints and outer tie rods.

Original chassis stay assembly
