What have you done for your Z today?
taking my car to look at some new tires today. What performance tires do all of you run? I'm curious because Im trying to get a tire with good grip and with some cold weather capability built into it; i want the practicality of all season and some of the outright capabilities of a summer tire yet I haven't had much success.

I can't exactly comment on their effectiveness as a summer tire since I usually put on the all-season tire/wheel setup once it gets colder and then go back to the summer setup when the temps start climbing, but I have had good experiences with the all-season variants of BF Goodrich's G-Force, Continental's Extremecontact, and Michelin's Pilot Sports.

I'm not a good judge of all season tires, being in "Summer Max Perf" tires year 'round territory but had a set of the Michelin Pilot AS3s on my non-Z which did pretty well in the wet and dry.
But, as with any A/S tire, even an "Ultra High Performance" variant, it is necessarily a compromise and doesn't hold a candle to the Conti Extreme Contacts that are now on that car, which, even in wet, work well.

So general consensus is stick with all seasons lol. I run General Gmax AS03's on my car right now and they're great tires for this platform, responsive and in rain, they grip better than most all seasons I've ridden on, but they are really noisy and I wanna see what the car can do on really sticky rubber. The only problem is where I live the temps are now dipping below 60 degrees average which puts me out of buying a summer tire. Hoping I can find A/S 3's for not much money somewhere...

Well I went down to another tire shop today to look at some rubber, unfortunately, I think I'm getting all seasons for the Z unless I can get good summer tires for a steal. I was thinking maybe a Nitto tires or something since they perform like a really expensive tire but they're maybe half the price. NT555 G2 would be a nice tire that's semi-affordable

Forget the tire shop, order some tires on tire rack and you can go pick them up in Windsor locks, then have Costco mount and balance them for you... It's the cheapest way to go.
I have htr3 sumitumo summer tires, I can't say anything bad about them. They are a lot of bang for the buck.

Installed the 5th bow motor on my 05 350z. Had it rebuilt by a guy in Florida that I found on eBay. Uploaded a video you Youtube of my painful journey to reinstall.

I removed a few metal brackets on the front of the engine, and re-routed a few harnesses. Also did a partial strip on the trunk last week to give me a little more trunk space and save some weight. Working on slowly deleting a few things over the next little bit.

Finally got around to camouflaging my heavy handed sanding screw-up from four years ago. Laff....
Can still see it but to the "untrained eye", better than a paint blotch. Hahaha.
Now that my S30 project is coming to a close, going back to pay attention to my poor 33, so long neglected. Makeover? Perhaps....
