I'm 19 and got just over 6 months on mine

so I guess im winning so far

still doesn't add up .. "bent axles" + scrapes, bruises + hitting a car way off the road + sliding that far in soft dirt / mud = 40mph

I'm 20 and got 7 months under the belt. Just one minor speedin ticket. Knock on wood. Sorry to hear about your car. Make sure the body shop replaces the flux capacitor along with that broken front axel.

Nobody doubts that a Z can hydroplane as 35 or 40 mph. Those were pretty long ruts through soft mud, something that tends to slow a car quickly. Admittedly, without a map, measurements and details, it hard to know for sure, but at this point I'm finding it hard to believe he started all this at 40mph.

Alright its not a residential area theres maybe 4 houses on a 5 mile road. The only reason the road extends off there is for his drive way. Their is also no curb the road just goes straight into his lawn. I was about to replace my tires since the tread is getting a little low but i didnt think it was that bad. We did just have the worst rain last night that we have had in a while. The road where i wrecked takes a sharp left turn right before his house and it has no sign saying it does. The state trooper that came out to the wreck said its a really bad turn that flood and they need to put signs up. The peoples car i hit said the road floods right before the turn bad and there have had 2 people slide off that turn and almost slam their house in the last few years. Ya i know im only 19 but ive got some experience driving, never any tickets and ive gone to the track about twenty times with my mustang gt and a few times so far with this car to get a good feel for it. I dont think it would of mattered if i would of saw the turn or not because i had no control of the car. My police report says i hydroplaned though. Just got back from the hospital though i have 2 cracked ribs and my arm is scraped up. Sorry this is so long just trying to clarify everything. His lawn looks huge in most the pics but its not really that long in the last picture im standing almost in the road. And the ruts in the 3rd pic are from dragging the car out (the front wheels wouldnt turn).

Glad you are alright, live and learn. as long as you learn from your mistakes and you can walk away all is well.

WOW! At the rate people have been wrecking Z's latley the resale value of the 350 Z's might jump up a little bit due to they may be hard to find in the future....LOL.

Did the police determine the cause as "Too Fast for Conditions"?

Sorry to see you wrecked your Z.
