So I park my car in front of my shop this morning and my customer comes in for a quote. She had backed her F150 Roush into the spot beside my Z. When she left she didn't pull out and turn - she just turned as she pulled out and hit my car with her 24" wheels/tires.
And here is the aftermath:
She was pretty upset that she hit my ride so I wasn't going to give her a hard time about it. Body shop sais its going to be about $2000 to repair of which she will pay all of it (or go through her insurance). Now my car's going to be out for about 2 weeks.
lol wow how did that happen? im geussin the Z ran into the back of it?
Nah. If you look at the curb in front of the cars, it looks like there's some dirt trailing off of it and some wheel marks. Looks like some idiot reversed out over the curb and onto the front of the Z. That would explain why they're partially out of the parking spot. That and I don't think a Z can get under a car like that just by hitting the back.
OP:
That sucks, man. At least you have someone to hold responsible for it. You're very fortunate to have a solution ready to go that doesn't involve a penny paid out of pocket. That and you get a brand new bumper. I think I'd give up my car for a couple of weeks for a free bumper without rock chips... or the scratch from the last person who hit my parked car and drove off....
Accidents happen. I hate you'll have to spend two weeks in a rental.
Thats ok, I actually have a daily driver so that part is not a problem

Yeah the way I look at it is that I can get all my rock chips removed and have my lip re-attached and finished better. I don't plan on an aftermarket bumper because I love the INGS lip on the stock bumper.
Thanks for all the support guys! I am not the type to fly off the handle and freak out at her. It was a mistake and it is just a car (albeit my baby). I try to look at the positive out of situations like this.
