There is also a tiny tiny tear on my e-brake handle. Damn you nissan

gawdamnit!!!!! To be perfectly honest I exaggerated a bit. There is one small "scratch" on the left of the steering column. Have no clue how it got there. There is a very tiny tear in bottom of e-brake. And there is a small scratch on center console. So 3 total. Still, I have no clue how they got there. I had some touchups done at the dealer the other day. But I'm not 100% positive if it was them. I mean, I didnt examine the car closely before I took it in. Now I have no way of knowing for sure....
opinions?

Z-INCOGNITO Oct 30, 2003 08:04 AM

If you are the only driver of your ride & i am assuming its fairly new (per your joined date) then you should know for the most part if you did it or not, so assuming all that to be true... its the DEALER... good luck bro

Nope no problems here. I am very carful though.

Stop having sex in the Z, it's too small.

I know this thing is plastic, so I've been really careful not to scratch it. I don't like walking on egshells all the time though.

My old car is scratched a lot, and it's mostly from passengers getting in and out, even though passengers are only there maybe 1 in 10 times I drove my car! Other people just don't care.

yea i have a few scratches too. ****

jedoublery Oct 30, 2003 12:40 PM

I know that the piece on top of the steering column scratches easily.
I was making a U turn the other day and my hand slipped off the wheel, and some how made a cut on the plastic.....I couldn't believe it so I repeated what I just did....only to find out that I scratched it again, this time on purpose!!!
You can hardly notice it.....but if this is the kind of stuff you are referring to.

yea thats exactly what im talking about. You cant even notice them unless you're a freak like me lol
I think the interior scratches pretty easily.
Inferior interior?

Turcoupe Oct 30, 2003 01:09 PM

Yes, my interior scratches very easy also. The door panels escpecially. My driver armrest cushion on the door is permamently indented from where I rest my elbow (really cheap material). There also is a noticeable gap between the plastic of where the armrest is and the panel on the door. I will be bringing this to the dealer to get replaced under warranty when I get my next oil change.... :(

acmw Oct 30, 2003 01:14 PM

not mine

marhot Oct 30, 2003 06:30 PM

Nope...

I'm very careful about everything I do when in the Z.

But...

could you provide us with pics??? Just curious...

Dissolved Oct 30, 2003 06:32 PM

the scratches are very hard to see but they are there. A very high resolution camera *may* pick it up but I doubt it. You can feel them though. They werent there before. Damn dealer did it I think

jedoublery Oct 31, 2003 10:02 AM

I took it to the service manager today and he was like "what scratches" I think the service department thinks I'm nuts. Then again, they didnt just drop $33k on a car

s9am_me Oct 31, 2003 12:29 PM

i don't have any scratches as far as i can tell. but i can tell you this tho... Super Black scratches like a moe foe!! even a little pressure from your nail gives it a nice deep scratch. crappiest paint i've ever come across. The Lexus and maxima don't scratch as easily as the Z:(
