How much does a way worths?
OP, how much do you have to spend? I'll try to help as I am always on a budget, but I have taste, common sense, and an ultimate plan for my car, so I don't waste money.
I have an Unorthodox Racing lightweight pulley set for $200 shipped if you want them. PM me if interested.

You can do exhaust, intake, spacer, and tp's, for right around $2000, doing the install yourself. Like Phreak said there are pulley sets, brake upgrade kits, etc, all kinds of little things you can do.
You could even do a "baller" shift **** for around $150. Just depends on what you're looking for.

Well the year of your car would help
if 03-05 De Id say JWT popcharger, motordyne Isothermal Plenum spacer with TB coolant bypass, test pipes,HR ypipe , y back exhaust. cheapest easy things u can do.
if uprev motor samething but with a Mrev2 lower plenum.
after these mods a tune would be good too but thats starts getting a lil more pricey
if HR then dual popchargers or injens short ram intakes. test pipes, exhuast.
cobb accessport is cheap and yileds good gains on the HR or fork over more and go the osiris route .
another cheap mode is keep the y back and have them mount a cutout right after the Y since the mid pipe and muffler use smaller diameter pipes. of course only dump it at the track.

honestly, i was just trying to start a simple thread with no bs that way people that are similar to myself could enjoy doing slow, yet subtle things that add up over an extended time that will help and make the car look better. im not saying im gunna go to ebay or autozone and rice my car out! at the time i purchased it, it was close to $30,000. im not about to make my car look like butt. for example, the other day i installed a new clutch line because mine was collapsing on me and making my clutch mushy. cost: $35. so people drinking the haterade..... CHILL. u dont have to reply or even click on the thread if you dont want to. there are people on here in all different types of financial positions.
btw its an 06'.

I'm in the same boat, but my plan is a new audio deck because I might as well properly enjoy the Bose system, and then looking into custom ECU/way to hook it up to a laptop to allow a plethora of electronic tuning and not have to buy assload of physical gauges for everything.
Dunno about you, but my goal is to squeeze the most out of the stock until I'll be able to firmly say what I think my car lacks and upgrade those areas.

i absolutely love my kenwood. the thing is dope but like u said, ur wanting more out of it than just audio. i wonder if my dnx is capable of installing windows on it, the thing was like 1100 when i got it.

Well, I meant that I only have the stock unit and my first budget upgrade is something better, with a USB port as a must. Was thinking 2-300 range pioneer or sony deck.

hsummer,
i was looking into both of those for awhile. for some reason i was under the impression that for the 06' models, if you put both of those on it would actually become a hindrance on the car and u would begin to lose hp. but i could be mistaken..

A good low cost upgrade audio wise. Replace front door speakers. You can remove the grilles from the door by sliding a small screwdriver under the back side and prying out.
Once the grille is off you will see how the speaker is mounted lower than the grille. Horrible location. If you are capable, Mount new speakers on top of the grille and possibly tweeters in the door panel. I will include pictures. Great improvement.
